Went here on a first date not long ago, and was really impressed. The oak-grilled asparagus is just awesome, and the meat and cheese platter is fantastic. Super ambiance - a definite winner!

I dined at this restaurant as a guest of a dear friend who after submitting his credit card to the waiter and then getting it back along with the credit card slip, my friend found that the waiter had charged him the wrong amount which was greater than our check. The waiter promised that the charge would later be voided or credited and presented another check to my friend with the correct charge. Unfortunately the larger first bill that was charged was never credited and now the restaurant refuses to credit my friend. Not only do they refuse to credit my friend, the manager has been rude and indifferent. Be careful and if this happens to you, be sure to settle the matter right there and then. I won't have that opportunity because I will never set foot in the place.

I don't think that Ecco is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta as it's been hyped, but it is definitely good. Meat and cheese trays are awesome (we had their special cheese from a tiny village in Italy--yum!!) Also try the fried goat cheese appetizer...it is truly heavenly! Our entrees were good but not outstanding. Service was excellent.
