I just finished a two month stay at Fairmont acute rehab facility in San Leandro, where he is the director. This is a county facility, and really, thank god I live in Alameda county! I had suffered a stroke and spent twenty days in Summit medical center, prior to my transfer to Fairmont. My left side was affected by the stroke and the therapists at Summit helped me regain enough balance to sit up for short periods without falling. I left Fairmont walking with a quad cane. Slowly, but walking. I got my high opinion of Dr. El Gohary from my interactions with him, my observations of the facility he directs, and the opinions of the therapists who work there.
