ElectraMedics understands the cost of electricity is going up (both in dollars and in environmental and health impacts) and it doesn't show any signs of doing otherwise. By using less energy, and greening the electricity that we do use, we can lighten our footprint immensely. ElectraMedics technicians can share with you many "Green" money saving ideas to lower your energy use and monthly overhead costs.
A young guy, from the Dallas office, came in response to my LS Deal for home inspection, And included a $150 credit toward service. He came up with a list of 'needs' and responded to a few Ideas I... had. The list of services he proposed came to $2900, which he pushed to do immediately. I figured maybe to do 1item I'd wanted done, I asked if he had time to do that. His response was that 'he thought that he'd be there all day'! Essentially he expected that I'd just buy his list of $2900 fixes!! Uh....no....I found another electrician to put in the 2 halogen cams I wanted and it cost me $125 including the cost of the lights! (ElectraMedics quote for just that was $804, plus a service call $59, plus something called FFS for $6.95!! )VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I recently had a package deal installed where the electrician installed a whole house surge protector and dimmer switch. The electrician told me that if I had any problems to just call and they would... come out to fix it. The dimmer switch has stopped working so I called the company. The employee that I spoke with said that the switch was part of the package but not part of the warranty.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

i called them on a tuesday to set up a estimate for 7 recess lights and 1 electrical outlet so they told me they could be by on the following thursday so i said ok....when wed came they call and i was expecting a reminder call but instead i got a call telling me that they had a really big job and they couldnt get to me until a week later and ask if that was ok and i said i will call another day if i still decided to use them.....later on that they called and said i was in luck and some one would be at my home between 10-12 noon.......no one ever showed up but i did got a call at 11:45 saying some one would be their around 3.....this was unacceptable so i told them if the beginning is this bad no way i could use them to do the work....tks but no tks
I purchased a $49 coupon for 2 hrs of electrical service or $150 total. The technician arrived on time. I wanted a ceiling fan installed as well as an non working outlet fixed. I was provided an estimate to install a ceiling fan. This is how it works: Service Call $59.00 1 ceiling fan installation $198.00 Service fee 6.95 Minus the coupon purchased -49.00 Total due to install fan $214.95 It would cost $264 to install one standard size ceiling fan in a room no more than 8 feet high. The office did not inform me that the $49 was used to offset the cost of the estimate. There is no fine print. It's a bait system. Beware. I would not recommend this company.

We had an issue with several outlets from our bedrooms to bathrooms to laundry room that were having issues. ElectraMedics came out and addressed the problem right away. They explained why problems occurred in very simple terms. I was very happy with their service.
I can't thank ElectraMedics and the owner, Mike, enough! I was in an emergency situation and had no idea what to do. I called ElectraMedics first thing in the morning, and talked to the receptionist. She was so kind and professional. I think she could hear the panic in my voice. She immediately contacted Mike. Mike cancelled all of his meetings that day and personally took care of my situation, spending all day at my rental property all the while dealing with a very rude and distraught tenant. This company is everything they claim to be and more. I have never used an electrician before. I had no idea how to find a good one. I went on Kudzu and thank god found these guys! I will never use another company for electrical work. They are wonderful!
ElectraMedics was great! I bought the Kudzu deal, they came out, thoroughly examined my problem, explained the cost (via a laminated cost structure book that was easy to understand) and fixed my problem. (Bathroom lights wouldn't turn on, cause by a bad socket.) They also pointed out some other (serious) electrical problems while they were there, thoroughly explained everyting, and gave me an independent 3rd party website to confirm what they were saying. Great Company to work with, will hire again!
Just the fact that electromediscs found out that that service box I was using had lost it's UL rating back in the 1980's was by far a rude awakening and gave me a chance to get the service updated and give me some security that I didn't have for a lot of years. The speed and professional workmanship was great and now with the job done I feel more relaxed with the service.
The electrician sent to service my home was Dan. The high quality of service he provided was wonderful. He was patient, prompt and thorough. It's nice to know I now have an electrician I can count on. Thank you Dan for a positive experience. I highly recommend ElectraMedics.
Had an outlet installed in kitchen. Paid something like 300.00 for an hours work. Will not use again because of cost.
They do great work, but do not have a mind for aesthetics. They left old smoke detectors on ceiling after installing new ones, and put an unnecessary nail in a visible spot on one wall. But the whole-home surge works great, and the new fusebox & grounding system is a vast improvement over what we had. I would recommend them to anyone!
I was not impressed at all with what they proposed to do as far as replacing my ceiling fan in a room with a cathedral ceiling. I was told that my connections were not up to code and they would have to install an electrical box to the ceiling beam (which would be exposed) and also install PVC tubing for the wires to run across the ceiling. My house is not a warehouse and I have no intention of it looking like one especially in my living room. They were gracious about my declining their services. The additional cost for their proposed configuration was totally unreasonable and an aesthetic nightmare.
I had Electramedics come out to install flood lights in my backyard. Upon inspection, the electrician saw I had a major flaw in the wiring coming into my home from the street. Instead of scheduling to come out another time, he immediately began the process of making sure my home was safe. It took several days to complete the process, but I didn't mind having the guys around the house. They were friendly, courteous, and professional at all times. The work was of the highest quality ... and the price was just right. I HIGHLY recommend this company.
Our experiences with Electramedics have been well above expectations. They showed on time. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Above satisfactory work and value.
Told me I needed an entire new electrical box. I later called neighborhood electricians who just replaced the main breaker to fix the issue.
