Elite Surfaces Federal Way WA is the worst!, 11/02/2012

I am completely dissatisfied with their service and unprofessional behavior. They kept on increasing the cost of the project. In the contract, they stated that they would do solid hardwood on the... entire stairs including the landing. Instead, they used engineerd hardwood on the landing and the raisers were made out of wooden board. The stair treads have big black spots and look subpar. If properly sanded and conditioned, they would not have such visible black stains and blotches. Elite Surfaces kept on contracticting the price for the wood they had quoted in the emails. They charged me almost $9 per 18x18 ceramic tile material on top of the labor and backerboard material. They measured the house and ordered the material. Yet, there was not enough wood and tile to finish the project as we had originally agreed upon. I even had to pay out-of-my pocket for the grout and go to Home Depot to buy it. They constantly kept on adding extra cost and they were constantly short on the materials. They asked me to pay extra for the material that they were short of. They were not able to provide me with the receipts for the cost of the material that they used. They left a big gap between the engineered wood and tile. Then, they used the matrial that I bought at HomeDepot to patch the gap. Besides most workers could not speak a single word in English and people who could understand English, did not listen to the customer's requests. I would not recommend them to anyone!
