This is a good company. The windows made my home more comfortable and energy efficient. You certainly can get cheaper windows, but the quality and u-factor will be no where near the Energy Exterior... windows. These windows also qualify for the Federal Energy Tax Credit. Not all energy Star windows are good enough to qualify. President Obama paid for 30% of my windows. I found the customer service at Energy Exteriors to be polite, quick, and responsive. Several of my neighbors also have windows from Energy Exteriors and have had only good things to say about the company. I certainly am happy.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
The windows are nice, but you can get comparable quality for less money. They really sell you on their customer service, which is none once you've paid them. They installed the wrong windows in our... loft, and we have to have a ladder there just to open and close them. They won't do anything about it! We are going elsewhere for the rest of our windows!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I had several windows and doors installed. Overall the end result is ok but the process was really painful. The various parts of the company do not communicate well with each other and things dragged out. the best part of was the insallation of a set of exterior french doors...but then that was really a subcontrctor. The most annoying thing now is I want the forms for tax season discounts. I was told they will mail them to me, they did not. I called and left a message and was never called back. I just tried to call agian and 2 of the 3 phone numbers on the invoice are disconnected...so I called the 3rd and its an answering service...so I do not have high hopes. I totally disagree with one of the earlier reviews. While I think EE windows are good, the Penguin windows are much better made. However EE is cheaper so I guess you get what you pay for. I personally, will save up the money next time and go with Penguin again.

I have had Energy Exteriors windows in my home since 2004. They first did my sliding glass doors and two windows. Then in 2007 they did my four front windows. And in 2010, I invited them back to complete my home with the remaining six windows. Yes, they are expensive. But the quality is superior to anything else available, including the infamous Penguin Window. I have never had any problems or required any additional service. The installation has been clean and perfect! To anyone reading this review, I personally recommend Energy Exterior windows. Please keep your money local and support this Tacoma window company!

I interviewed several companies before choosing Energy Exteriors. They had the best price point, a high quality product and I was assured that the installation would be top notch. After we had two windows replaced I was able to feel strong drafts when the wind was blowing. I removed the interior trim and found large gaps with only backer rod and no caulking to block the draft. They had an installer call me after the problem was reported. He informed me that they don't caulk on the inside but he would come out and ""caulk on the inside if that's what you want me to do"" - his exasperation was clear. He then proceeded to list the days of the week and why he couldn't make it out that day or that he *might* be able to make it on this day. I told him to call me back when he knew when he'd be available. After not hearing back, I took care of the problems myself the following weekend. I never heard back from the installer or anyone else from Energy Exteriors until I received a sales call about a year later.A dissatisfied customer just to save the time and cost of using a tube of caulk?! I won't be purchasing anything further from them as I've lost all confidence that they will perform the installation in an acceptable manner.

Energy Exteriors did a really clean, professional job installing my new windows last week. Our windows look neat and even tilt-in for cleaning. There were a few small issues after the installation day, but they quickly sent back the crew to make corrections. This happens with even the best installers. We know the price was a little higher than other companies, but we wanted good energy efficient windows, not the low-end junk. This was money well spent. they even gave us a lifetime warranty on the windows to include the labor! We had planned a cruise to Alaska this summer, but decided to invest in our home instead with a project that keeps giving. They guaranteed in writing a 40% energy savings. We can't wait for the cold, wet Washington weather and that lower gas bill! We also plan on claiming a tax credit from the federal govt. Energy Exteriors is highly recommended. This is certainly a company you can trust.

We just replaced 4 windows using this company in May 2009 and it was a big mistake. The windows are OK, but they did not caulk properly, leaving bare siding around the window frames on the outside. In one of the upstair windows, they left an inch gap between the frame and the window.\r We repeatedly called their customer service department. They either do not take your calls or if they do, they never call your back if they know you have complaints.\r I signed up for this website just to write this review so that other homeowners will avoid making a mistake like us. Please please stay away from this company for your own good.\r I would have given no star, but this web site requires a rating so putting the minimal rating possible.

On May 1, 2009 we had Energy Exteriors of Tacoma, WA install 10 windows on our 10 year old home. Even though our home already had the older version of vinyl windows, the house was cold in the winter and hot in the summer.\rThe sales representative that came to our home was very knowledgable and did not pressure us into a decision. This was so refreshing as we already had 4 window companies give thier presentation and they all pushed for the sale. Energy Exteriors simply gave us detailed information, demonstrated the window, and gave us the price. \rWe love the tilt-in for cleaning feature and the attention to details they put into the windows. the installers were true professionals.\rWe highly recommend Energy Exteriors to anyone considering replacement windows. They may not have the lowest price, but they certainly have the best vinyl window available today. They delivered true value and energy savings to our home.

This company has made harrassing phone calls for almost a year now. Their complaint ratio on the Better Bus. Bureau site is sky high. \r\rAwful customer service and business tactics.\r\rBEWARE!
Energy Exteriors is a HARASSING COMPANY. After numerous calls, we requested to be removed from all calling lists. Not only do they continue to call, but they call every week. Now they call, let the phone ring once or twice and then they hang up. HORRIBLE COMPANY WITH HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES!
