Here is my experience with Eastside Air. Monday I noticed that half my house was hot. Tuesday AM: I called Eastside and talked to Jamie. He told me he would be out that afternoon to take a look at my system. Tuesday PM: Jamie showed up and started working on the system. When he finished he told me I had a refrigerant leak probably in my evaporator coil. He said he charged it up and maybe it would last a week maybe longer; there was no way of telling. He also said I needed a new evaporator coil and matching compressor. His computer battery was dead, but he would email me a proposal that night. I got the proposal Wednesday morning. Wednesday PM: My house was hot again. I called Jamie and he said he was out of town but he would get in touch with his installer to arrange a time to replace the system. I didn't hear from him the rest of that day. Thursday: No call from Jamie. In the mean time I called another company. They quoted me $700 less then Eastside's quote. Friday AM: The other company started the install at 10:00 am. Jamie finally called to setup an install time for Saturday. I told him I went with someone else because he didn't call back. I also asked if I could have a partial refund for the work he did on Tuesday because it didn't last even 24 hours. He said, "No, I know that sucks but that is all I can do." Jamie got $224 of my money and I got one night of air conditioning. So that's my experience.

This was an unfortunate experience that happened at a time when after a busy summer, I finally had a chance to spend quality time with my family and went on vacation. When I found your system low on R-22, I charged it to the proper levels. At which time, you were happy your unit was cooling again. I let you know you had a leak in your evaporator coil, and the only way to properly fix it is to replace your coil. As you stated in your review, I told you there was no way of knowing how long the Freon will last in your system. We discussed your options and the change refrigerant laws taking effect in 2010 (After January 2010, manufacturers will no longer make systems with R-22. The new refrigerant is 410a). At that time, it was my understanding that you agreed not to waste your money on an R-22 coil and replace you're A/C and evaporator coil at the same time with a quality Trane system with 410a refrigerant. Due to working late, I e-mailed your proposal to you late that evening. I also stated should Eastside replace your system, I would credit you the diagnostic charge. Unfortunately, due to the constant rise in cost of R-22 and that it cannot be reused once put into your system. I could not credit you the cost of R-22. While on vacation, I did make the mistake of not calling you on Thursday, which I do apologize for. I had my phone with me and truly wish you would've called me. Because I do not know what brand or model the other company quoted you, I cannot say anything about them being cheaper. I can say that Eastside has chosen to sell reliable and quality systems with the best installation available. As for your misquoting me, you and I both know that is not what I said or how I said that I cannot refund your money. Summer time always brings the dreaded event of needing to have your a/c repaired. After nine years in my house one of my units decided to call it quits so I called five AC companies out to give me estimates on a repair or new system. Jamie Munsell of Eastside was the first available to come out and once he found that the unit was salvagable his first action was to get the house cooling again by charging my system. He then spent the time to explain the differences in the new systems that I was looking at and then he provided me with a quote. When I have had other small a/c issues it is always a good feeling to know that Eastside provides 24hr emergency service. My a/c unites are still limping along but when it comes time to replace them, I will be calling Eastside Heating and Air. Thanks Jamie and keep up the good work!

Local Family owned. Showed up on time. Looked at my system. Told me what needed to be corrected...Unlike 2 other contractors..What a waste of my time and theirs..Gave me a fair price...Scheduled the install..Showed up on time and completed the work when he promised..I will use them again and will recommend to anyone....This is good contractor....Use Em' Grayson Jon

Our air conditioning was not blowing so I called Eastside. My friend referred me to the company. Jamie the owner came to my house at 6pm realized the fan in the furnace was "dead." He ended up staying until almost mid-night to finish the job. He did a great service because I was pregnant and hot!!!! He did an excellent job and has earned my business for life.... He was very professional, honest and not out to take advantage of me. His rates are VERY reasonable. I have recommended him to a number of friends and family members.

We just finished our bonus room and Jamie was great to work with. He suggested the zoning system and it works great. We are very pleased and have referred Eastside to our friends. Jamie was prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after the job!

I had a ploblem with my heating unit. I called another company to come out and fix it. After about 10 minutes of looking at my unit, they told me I needed a new motor. Something did not seem right to me so I called Eastside Heating and Air to give me a second opinion. They arrived when they said they would, and found that my problem was not the motor, but only a $30 part. Eastside saved me $435. I would recommend them to everyone. Great Job Eastside!
