After several opinions and lots of searching we very so lucky to have found Dr. Erwood. He told us what he would need to do and explained it in a way that no other dr. had done. He actually spent more than 10 minutes with us which is what we had been experiencing with the other doctors. My husband had been in an accident and was in severe pain. He could not work or do anything with our family and kids without having terrible pain. Since his surgery, he is a different person. We have our husband and father back!! I can't even express our gratitude to Dr Erwood, the hospital staff and everyone who helped us.

I recently took my mother to Dr. Erwood for what turned out to be a disc problem which ultimately required surgery. He explained everything to my mother and I in such a way that we felt as comfortable as I guess we could for a surgery. HE IS WONDERFUL.. The nurses were so nice. We are so gratful for what he has done for my mom. This has changed her quality of life!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Erwood was the attending neurosurgeon at Atl.Med Ctr. when my husband was there after a motorcycle accident. Upon leaving the hospital, Dr. Erwood NEVER returned requests for phone calls when we were at home on the weekends and having problems. One time, he told his answering service, they have to wait until Monday. A caring physcian could have taken 5 minutes to call his patient. At our appointment with him, he was very cold, NO bedside manner, and to be truthful, we left feeling like he really did not give care. We would not recommend him to anyone!
