i needed a smog check on my car so i went to this smog shop. the smog tech gave me an estimated wait time. not a very personable person but i'm not there to be friends. he told me how much it would be pass or fail.tested my car and sent me on my way. while i was there i could see him getting fustrated with some very rude customers because there car failed. he seems to be limited with what he is allowed to do. overall it was a decent experience. i definetly recomend him for fast service. so what if he doesn't talk to you like your friends. he was very busy when i was there.i was number 6 in line. he was very efficient.

THIS SHOP DID AN ILLEGAL FAILED SMOG ON MY CAR. I get a call this morning from the HONEST mechanic THAT I was referred too, THANK GOD, and they tell me this -My car is Missing the lower timing cover on the timing belt. It's been missing A LONG TIME they could tell because of the oil build-up. They cant check the timing TO EVEN ******DO****** THE SMOG, because the timing reference marks are on that part. So this means Brian did a totally illegal smog. The BAR will be getting an official complaint! And since my cousin is an attorney!!!!! we will use his help as well. This guy does a ten news spot evidentally. On Yahoo comments, someone said this guy has 3 BAR complaints on his record so far.I guess I should have done some reading first. They had my car on one rack, then after over half an hour told me they had to switch machines, that something was not working right on one of the machines. I waited well over an hour for this failed illegal smog. As I'm searching online all I'm finding is BAD reviews. And EVERY review on this website is bad, I am adding one more. TO THE BAR and to the attorney. It's costing me the entire 500 CAP program $$ to replace this part.....and West charged me over sixty bucks to give me AN ILLEGAL FAILED SMOG. This is not over. Channel ten news, or whoever he is on TV with and the CAPS program are both getting letters.

Coupons for most California smog stations say something like "$25 plus certificate and electronic transfer." The coupon for Escondido Smog Center said $25 "OUT THE DOOR". It did NOT mention certificate or transfer fees. I gave the coupon to the technician before he started work. After completion, he charged me over $40. I pointed to the coupon and asked how they could get away with illegal advertising. He just shrugged his shoulders. I had to pay the $40+ just to get my car back. AVOID THIS SMOG TEST STATION!

Definitely a shady smog shop in working with a neighboring shady mechanic shop. Precision Tune Autocare. Both I would stay way from. Would never go there again. Always Check Kudzu first.

Hole in the wall test center with one bay. Nothing fancy and fast service. The price was not too bad and I was in and out within a short time. A good choice for North Escondido.
