Met with the Estes salesman(Chase)on Monday of this week. He went through my home examining my current configuration and quoted me on what I asked for and what he suggested. He explained the... differences and options for the two different systems and answered all of my questions at the time. After leaving, other questions came to mind and were answered with a simple phone call. After reviewing the 5 quotes I received from other companies, I awarded the job to Estes. The quote from Estes was not the cheapest that I had received, however I felt that I would get value for my dollar in the long run. The install date was set and I received a call the day before informing me when the install crew would be out. The following morning, the install crew consisting of David and Ryan arrived as promised, introduced themselves, looked over the job to be done and proceeded the installation with their knowledge, expertise and professionalism. They only encountered one minor problem which they quickly overcame with the support of the Estes home base. Approximately 5 1/2 hours after pulling into my driveway, they had removed my old equipment, replaced it with a Infinity System, gave me basic instructions on how the equipment works, and left my home in as good if not better shape then they had found it. Ryan and David are a credit to the Estes company. Seeing how this is my first piece of Carrier equipment in my home, the verdict is still out on that issue. So far, so good. Yesterday Josh B and Marcus E replaced our 15 year old system. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do, and for the next eight hours they did not stop. After completion our home... was cleaned and the new system was explained..what professionals. Today, Michael Eagle and Philip Kebe sealed and added insulation to our attic. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do. About seven hours later the job was completed. Again totally professional. From my first dealing ever with Estes through completion, I can not say enough positive about the company and their personnel and quality of work. It sounds like Estes is genuinely interested in customer satisfaction. And that has been my mother's experience for the last twenty years. Hopefully the current issue can be resolved soon. She has been without heat since Friday (four days and counting). The weather is turning cold and she is a frail 83 year old lady who does not tolerate lower temperatures well. I am going to take this up with the management in the morning and will come back to update this review and my rating. Let's see if Estes meet their #1 goal, complete customer satisfaction. Next day: The heating unit was fixed by Estes this afternoon. I spoke to the customer service manager and the service manager and both were very helpful. All companies make mistakes now and then. Estes was able to fix this one within a reasonable amount of time. Their technician even came out of Sunday and did not charge for the service call. I have to give an average rating on quality because it is hard to understand why a unit would break down the first time it was turned on.

250 words is just not enough to capture what this company has done to receive this poor rating. I've given Estes a month now to respond to my concerns and they have not called me back since receiving my last communication. That communication (via email) is pictured below. I have also tried calling to no avail. Estes waited until after my unit was out of labor warranty to inform me I had a freon leak, a unit they installed themselves and knew had a leak all along as they have been the only service provider. They broke a drain pan internal to the unit. Did not return a float switch to it's proper position during the same visit that broke the drip pan. This allowed my unit's overflow drip pan to overflow and leak inside my walls all summer. When Estes was made aware of the float switch not being in the right place, they reluctantly sent a technician free of charge to replace the float switch. When the overflow pan reached capacity again within a week, this is when the broken internal drip pan was discovered. The technician who came to return the float switch to it's proper place took pictures of my drywall and told me a supervisor would be contacting me during the regular business week and has never called. The only way they will send a technician now to investigate my broken drip pan is if I pay them a service trip fee to do it. I have tried to get them to send me a drip pan so I can change it myself and they won't do it without sending a technician first.
This is not nearly a true and accurate reflection of the kind of service Estes provides to any customer. I feel the need to explain our position on this matter which differs greatly. Estes installed the complete system 6/7/08 at this address and we saw no issues with the system until 6/1/09. Because of the issues we saw (which were refrigerant related) we elected to replace the evaporator coil at no charge. We replaced the evap coil on 6/4/09 and tested the system repeatedly to verify it was in perfect operation and free from any leaks. Fast forward to 2013 and the system is beyond the 5 year manufacturer's warranty and we find the system has a leak yet again. We advised the customer of his options as is standard procedure. The second issue with the cracked drain pan is another different issue. Estes did not crack this drain pan. The drain pan was likely cracked by the force of the ice being on the pan from the coil freezing up. This is why we do not feel like this is our fault. Furthermore, this customer has requested we send him the warranty part to fix himself. We cannot legally provide him the part as he does not possess a warm air license for HVAC and is not authorized to perform warranty repairs. To clarify, Estes offers a one year labor warranty on all parts and services in addition to the manufacturer's parts warranties on the parts and equipment we install. I have been using Estes for many years. Paul is the technician who always comes to my home. This past visit he said I needed new heating units ( mine were 20 years old). He arranged for Leverne to come to my house that afternoon, who arrived promptly and explained all my options. Within a couple of days, Carl and Byron installed new systems. Estes has the most courteous, professional, and well informed employees I have ever dealt with on a regular basis. Highly recommend them.

I have used Estes for over 20 years and always got excellent service. I have a yearly contract. Randi was the service person, very unfriendly.he was hetre Sat. evening.Randi told me he checked the coil up stairs (he was here to check the heating system)it showed the freon was low. I asked how much was needed, he said about 2-1/2 to 3 lb. at $64 per lb. plus $59 to do a diagnostic test. Randi said it would be better to replace the unit for about $5-$6,000. I am 86 years old and just got out from 2 weeks in hospital & 3 weeks in Rehab. My wife is home from hip replacement surgey & 1 week in rehab. For Randi to come to me with that kind of money shock scared us to death. I have about $8,000 hanging over my head. I don't need the kind of shock. This is a good way to loose yor customers. Your service man Paul just checked the A/C everything checked out OK.

Came home on my lunch break to discover my hot water heater leaking from the second floor through to the first floor. After calling another plumbing company who could only come after 5 and charge an after hours fee or come Saturday, I called Estes. They were very nice and understanding of the urgency of the issue. They had a plumber that could come but had another appt first. Elliott called on his way to let me know he was coming and where he was coming from. Once he was here he was very respectful and professional. Was in an out in an hour after having to replace some pipes. Was helpful in adding additional information on my invoice for my insurance company as well. Definitely will request him if ever need a plumber again.

They came out fast when my air unit died and they were quite professional. I did feel they were a little expensive. But they did give same day service.
I had request 3 quotes, for a new water heater, new HVAC and house weather proofing. The different individuals came out and were very nice. Only 1 emailed me a quote within a couple of days. The other 2 never sent me a quote. After 2 weeks of waiting, I reported the issue to John and moved on to another company, Reliable - they were awesome. They had such a good reputation with my condo tower and the management team, I was reluctant to share this review but feel it is important people get to hear both sides and to keep Estes from getting complacent.
Unfortunately we have spoken with this customer and what is communicated above is correct. We make mistakes but we pride ourselves on owning up to them. Simply put, we dropped the ball on this one and lost a customer that we valued and worked very hard to gain. I apologize for the bad experience and wish that we could have put ourselves forward in a more positive light. Please don't hesitate to let us know in the future if we can be of service. My air went out on 8/26/13 and my tech Peter Evans actually came early to see what the problem was. He was amazing, and ended up being the same tech who originally installed my air. He was great, professional and very helpful. The issue turned out to be something simple that my mother did and he went above and beyond trying to find the problem when we had a small obstacle in our way. I love this company, and had AMAZING service by Peter! The receptionist was also nice who made the appointment and was able to get me one same day! Thank you!
Our a/c went out on Saturday. I have a service agreement with Estes and called just after noon. The tech, Lee Smith, called when he was on the way and arrived when he said he would. The problem (burned out capacitor) was fixed quickly. We have used Estes for 2 decades and have been consistently happy with their service and technicians. My only request for improvement would be to have emergency service available on Sundays vs only Saturdays.

Our AC went out early Saturday morning. Turned out to be two separate problems, requiring service calls on Saturday and Sunday. Estes was responsive and both technicians - John and Mike - immediately demonstrated that they were experts in the field. They were extremely polite and personable and did all they could to make sure all problems were fixed while minimizing the cost for us. We have used Estes twice now and after this fiasco, we are customers for life.

John showed up and took on the task of fixing my bathroom sink leaks - being an old house there were issues of course. He stuck with it and solved my problem. He was very personable and I couldn't have asked for anyone better.
I have used Estes service for my home and business. They always make me feel like I'm the most important customer they service. Recently my hot water heater for my commercial kitchen went out with weddings scheduled for Saturday I needed service fast. Brandon and team to the rescue. Brandon came late Thurs. to access or situation and the plumbers and electricians were here AM Friday to make sure we were prepared for the weekend. Thanks to Estes our Weddngs were a success. From my first experience with Estes (my home AC) to the most recent only 3 days ago (An AC at my Business) and all the services in between Estes has always made me feel I am their most important customer. Carl, Patrick, Mike & Byron came to my house on 7/24 and installed 3 new Carrier systems (2 Infinitys and 1 Performance). It certainly wasn't cheap but these guys did a great job. My house now is comfortable like never before. I appreciate the professionalism.

We had an Estes technician work on one of our units twice a few weeks ago, only to come home from a trip to discover that the same unit was no longer working. In addition, we discovered a mysterious leak in our finished basement related to our other unit. I asked Estes to send a more experienced technician since, frankly, I did not care much for the tech who had worked on the first unit. John was wonderful! He was ultra professional and couldn't have been nicer. Most importantly, he knows his stuff. He quickly figured out the leak issue, explained how it probably happened, repaired it, and tested his theory thoroughly to make sure it was taken care of. On to the unit that had quit working. He also quickly figured out the issue there (a careless error caused by the previous tech), owned up to it that it was Estes mistake, and rectified the problem on their dime. John's service was so exceptional that it restored my faith in Estes completely, and enabled me to give them the 5 star rating appropriate for the "award winning service" that Tommy Estes touts. I'll be sure to ask for John next time!
