Best Bar in Little 5 Points, 8/20/2008

Excellent bar with good service and food. The BBQ plate and PBR are great deals and the intresting company is free. You never know exactly what you'll see in L5P and the Yacht Club is best bar there.

Great Bar with Great food, 6/09/2008

The Yacht Club has one of the best valuers in town. Their pulled pork sandwich platter is a deal. All of their food is fresh and very tasty. Lots of fun people watching.

Great place

The Yacht club is the reason you come down to little five points. Smoky, crowded bar, pbr in a can, and if you don't get the "Georgia Dog" and tots, I feel sorry for you.

Good cheap beer

Great hole in the wall bar- great service, nice selection. (Don't sit by the door if its cold out- the breeze will freeze you.)

Great dive.

This place is so good at being bad. Nothing has not changed here in 10 years... nothing. Good dive bar. When I think of L5P, this is what I see. Grab a tall boy and keep to ya self.

The only thing Freash is the Cigarretes.

And the Staff! Ultimate dive, good dart board. Epitome of LFP.

Overrated

The popularity and "trendiness" makes this place better than it is. When it comes down to it, its a dingy, smoky, low tier bar with a lot of uncomfortable seats. The cheap PBR brings it up to 3 stars though.

Hog heaven

This is one of the funkier and more eclectic places in Little Five Points, a neighborhood that is gradually succumbing to the vanilla-zation of yuppie reclamation. Great roadhouse atmosphere, with a killer burger and a nice selection of blue collar beers on tap come by on Sunday when the bikers meet up here and admire the long line of hogs down the sidewalk.

Neighborhood Bar

If you live in Little Five Points, and even if you don't, and you are looking for a local bar with local flavor - the Yacht Club is it. Good bar food, I recommend the nachos and good service - even when crowded (which is most of the time). A good place to go before a performance at the Variety Playhouse or if you are visiting Little Five Points.

L5P Favorite

A cozy little place "where everybody knows your name" with great clientele -- from bikers to drifters to the occasional yuppie. Food is okay, but it is really all about the beer. Good prices, pretty easy to get a booth or belly up to the bar.

you're not really there for the food. . .

but for a cold beer and the company you're with. A friendly bar, but there are better burgers to be found in L5P.

Great Bar

Perfect for pitchers and a pub-like atmosphere, this bar is better for drinks than dinner. Fun, unpretentious local place to visit if you want to grab a drink and hang out.
