I sit here looking at my crumbling retaining walls, a fountain that doesn't work, lighting that half works and I want to cry. I contracted Mario to replace two railroad tie walls with a stucco and stone two tier retaining wall and two smaller walls across my backyard. My driveway sits on top of it and I'm not sure the whole thing could fail and there goes my driveway and part of my house. I should have stopped right away when I noticed he wasn't on the job site much. He left his crew pretty much on their own and only showed up to get checks. Seems he left the old wall there and built the new wall around it, which will leave me with settling issues forever. He didn't install the proper drainage and the walls are cracking and have blown out in some areas due to the pressure. He was supposed to put stucco on the face of the walls but cheaped out and used a concrete wash. He was deceptive, un- reachable and always had some excuse for why he couldn't be there. What I was told would take two weeks turned into 6 months and still isn't done. The last thing he did was run away with my dead pond pump and never came back. Do not ever use him and be aware that he has another business called Cherokee Stone in Holly Springs. Beware!

This stone contractor came out to do a pea gravel drive way.He showed me a photo of a beautiful driveway he did. I should have asked for the address and verified with the supposedly satisfied customer. He did not provide the proper support the driveway cracked and crumbled within two months. He avoided phone calls and letters advising him of the problem, he never fixed the problem. I wish I had known about this site. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

After 3 broken appointments, I have moved on to another contractor. Mario never bothered to show up for 3 scheduled appointments... first two times "he forgot". We sat around all day waiting on him.. third time, he was tied up downtown and would try to get by "sometime" later today. I told him don't bother... he's just too unreliable for me. Too bad, because his work on his website looked very nice, but what good does it do if he won't return calls or bother to show up. I'd rather go with someone I can count on.

I had Mario out to quote a job. His work looked wonderful on his website. I needed the work done soon and he said it was not a big job and would not be a problem. I could not get him to let me know exactly when he would start. Timing was important. He would always say he would call me back and never did. I think he was too busy with other jobs. He ended up having another company come out and do the work I believe. They started a day after they were supposed to and then did not show up the next day. Mario kept telling me they were on the way. When someone showed up he explained he picked up the wrong stone but it was too late to do any work that day. He said he would get his crew to our house on Sunday but never showed up. All I need is for them to be honest. I am resonable but need to hear the truth. I would have rather he tell me he was too busy and then I could have used another mason that would have been more responsive. The quality is good but the service is terrible. In the future they should just pass on jobs if they don't have time and I don't like working with another company that I have no knowledge about and did not hire to do the work.

After meeting with 5 contractors, I was convinced that European Stone would be the best choice. I am not disappointed! We replaced a dilapidated walkway and stairs with a Tennessee Flagstone in front of our house completely changing the look for much the better. Mario is exceptionally talented at blending stone colors to match the house. Great job!!!

We used European Stone for our koi pond, concrete paver driveway, waterfalls, lighting, stacked stone walls, flagstone patio, landscaping, mailbox, excavation and fire pit. European Stone was the most reasonable quote. The job was incredible.
