Sour Grapes
Unfortunately I have to make a comment here regarding a review I just finished reading below.\r\rThe operative words used here by ScouseWife 87 are exactly what she states, CHEAP. \r\rYou get what you pay for and when you choose not to pay for anything that's exactly what you should get.\r\rI have been to Evergreen on many occasions and have utilized the services and facitities for several of my own functions with quite a different result and with much success.\r\rIt seems to me that when you plan things on the cheap that is what you will get and to expect someone else to cover your own frugality then you are the one to blame.\r\rI have also had the opportunity to utilize both Evergreens caterer and my own and in any case each must supply all the necessary equipment and supplies for the event. \r\rThere are just the facilities and the beautiful location. Anyone with half a brain would realize that when booking your function there. It's not Evergreens event or wedding it's your own and you own it.\r\r\r\r

KIDS LOVED IT
This past weekend we took our travel trailer and stayed at Evergreen Lake. We had a great time from check-in until we left. It was absolute torture getting the kids to leave. \r\rThe grounds are kept in great condition, the beach was nice clean sand. The lake is really just beautiful. We rented a boat and even caught two fish. \r\rThe seasonal people that were there were very friendly. Kids made friends at the game-room, there were a lot of other children to play with and ride bikes with. We even watched a movie on a large outside screen Saturday night.\r\rWe are hoping to get back there at least one time before the season ends. The owner and his staff were visible and friendly\r\rCan't wait to bring our friends back with us!!!!!\r\r...

beautifful ceremony site horrible staff and reception site
First off, it should be less than half a star if any at all. I recently had my wedding and reception there since it was convenient for us to have both there at a cheap price. The ceremony site is beautiful, but the reception site, although there was nothing physically wrong with the site itself, the staff and owner were rude and made up rules as they went along.\rJoe and his staff were not only rude to work with before the wedding but also on the wedding day, showing up whenever they pleased and telling people that he would be there to unlock doors etc when he wants, leaving our food out in the heat and there were puddles under the pavilion that he wouldn't mop up that never did ""dry over night""\rThey charged us $135 extra for choosing what type of beer we wanted, only to find out that the ""2 kegs we ordered"" were not ordered at all and not even full kegs and were left over from a previous party, making the beer flat and old.\rThe bartender was very rude to my guests and wouldn't fill their glasses all the way, because the beer would ""get too warm"" even though we are the ones that supposedly paid for the beer (He just didn't want to have to tap a new keg). \rThe alcohol we brought for specific guests could not be used and the bartender told them that they had no soda for mixers, even though we provided all the soda, so he lied to our guests. \rThe electric for this facility all came from the same source making the DJs music sound very muffled due to the amount of electricity filtering through the same circuit. \rThe person setting up the food was not allowed in and out of the cooler even though we were told we could. Joe also helped himself to our beer and was cursing at our guests who were looking for anything that may have been left behind and also cursed at one for driving on his grass (which he did not know he couldn't do).\rWe had to start cleaning up at 8pm, an hour before we ABSOLUTELY had to be off the premises, while Joe supervised with beer in han

Worst ever, poor customer service, bad attitude from staff.
Management is vague, inconsistent and not at all accommadating. We chose this Pavilion site for a party. We paid per person. We were informed that we must use their bartenders, cups would be provided. Later we learned that no other bar supplies were available. Ice, ice scope, straws, cocktail napkins, pitchers, mixed drink cups ( the bartender was not permitted to serve mixed drinks in the 8oz beer cups which were included), even a bar rag we supplied by us. Beer was included but we could not chose the beer, if we wished to have a particular brand of beer it was an additional cost. We were promised 2 bartenders but only recieved 1 for a fee. We purchased top shelf liquor for our party only to learn minutes before our guests arrived that we needed to limit the drinks to 1 type of alcohol and soda. During party we learned that pitchers were not permitted. We were charged for 4 kegs, unused kegs were returned, managment kept the refund money. We could rent the site for only 5 hours, the party absolutely needed to end by 9pm.\rCustomer service at Evergreen Lake is abismal. We were misled and mistreated and cheated.

Not going back
We had the worst site. We had no electric on the first night until late into the evening. We lost money at the arcade (we were refunded), the paddle boats were not the best, everything you wanted to do cost so much extra (should be included), our guests were treated poorly, we will not be going back again.
