I put my faith in the Westband Vetinary Hospital to take care of my sick puppy. She had ingested something that made her sick; vomiting, diarhea, lethargic. I had to bring her to an overnight emergency clinic in the middle of the night, where they stabized her (Iv, labs, x-rays,...) and she was doing much better when I picked her up. I brought her to one of the doctors at the Westbank Animal Hospital. He said she should be watched during the day and maby kept over night. He diceided to keep her, but thatis all he did. They put her in a cage and didn't monitor her at all during the night and she died. I was never told my puppy would not be monitored during the night. If I would have known no one would be there, I would have brought her home. This is not a hospital, it is a CLINIC. Do not bring your animal here for any type of treatment, especially if your animal is sick. Take them to a doctor and qualified facility that cares for your animal. This hospital (ha ha) is not a hospital, because they will just put your animal in a cage at 6pm, leave, and return at 8am. Your animal will die from the lack of monitoring!!!

I can not stand this place. Everyone is so rude here. Mainly the old white haired lady who has been a receptionist there for years, I believe her name is Debbie or Dawn or something like that. She is always in a foul mood towards clients and from what I have heard she isn't so nice to the employes there ether. I have had words with her plenty of times and have expressed and told them more than once I don't want her to handle my animal because I find her to be very agressive and don't trust her to be gentle with my pet, however my request go ignored and they allow her to handle him anyway. Granted the price is cheap however I would reather pay more money and get better care for my pet than pay the low price they offer and have not just myself but my pet as well be treated like trash by someone like her. The head vet really needs to screen the people he hires because I know I am not the only one who has complained to him about her why she is still employed there I'll never know.

Went to the Westbank Expressway Animal Hospital to pay off an old bill. But earlier this week I had found out that they did not put to sleep a Pom puppy like I had asked and been advised to by the female vet (dont remember her name) because she had a very bad heart, grade 5/6 or worse. And by 6 weeks of age she was already having fainting spells from it. Well when I asked the receptionist about it she went to the back to "talk to doc". She came back saying once I sign over a dog to them for euthanasia it is up to the vet for weather or not the dog should be put down or not. She decide to let one of the workers take her home. So I asked why want I at least notified and credited the price of the euth. And why was she suddenly okay enough to go home with anyone. She fluffed me off saying that the girl had brought her back in not long after wards to be put down. Thats when I asked why was she lieing to me to my face the girls face book page clearly has a post about the puppy being found dead one morning when the puppy was about 15/16 months old from her heart. Then she wanted to argue and raise her voice at me in the main office about weather or not this puppy who was having fainting spells as early as 5/6 weeks old with a 5/6 grade heart or worse had a quality of life. So basically over 10 years of trust with a vet went out the window.

Worst Doctor's visit experience ever, I brought my Lovebird in for her first vet visit.I was very excited this excitement soon turned into a nightmare. Some assistant took the bird in the back without me!! Then 3 minutes later brought the bird in her cage back to me and says she is great and looks good. No examination, nothing I never even met the Doctor!!!!!! (Outraged) I did not have a chance to speak with him about my bird and her health. Then they charged me for a wing clipping she did not recieve. But by this point I was so outraged I just wanted to get out of there. I would not bring any animal to a Doctors office with this kind of attention to detail or service level. Dr. Louviere thanks for nothing, Sorry I never got the chance to meet you, all I wanted was 5 minutes of your time which I was willing to pay for and a few seconds to chat about my lovebirds health. If i could rate this visit lower than awful I would!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take my advice stay away from this place!!!!!!

If you are like me, you love your pet but do not want to have to pay outrageous prices. This clinic is on the West Bank and currently takes walk-ins only. On the 2 occasions I was there, the wait was minimal and Dr. Luvier was nice and professional. The prices were the best part...extremely reasonable.
