Dr. Hymowitz is an incredibly professional and proficient optician. I have been a regular patient of his, and the staff and care I have received is by far the best I have experienced in the Atlanta area. There is no question that it is worth every penny.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hymowitz both at EyeHaven, occasionally at his Optica Universal store and when his practice was at Lenscrafters. Dr. Hymowitz is throughly professional and provides great patient care. Personally, I would not go anywhere else. His prices are competitive and offers a wide selection of frames and dispense both glasses and contacts. His explanations are in terms you understand and he responds to questions without pause. His staff is professional and very, very helpful.

I have been a client of Eyehaven for 3+ years and continue to be impressed by the level of service I receive. I've followed Dr. Hymowitz since his days as the Optometrist at LensCrafters in Lenox Mall. I was previously skeptical about seeing doctors in the mall. However, with my visit to Dr. Hymowitz, I found that he was thorough in his examinations and very knowledgeable about the details of contacts/glasses. The insight that he offers gives the patient an appreciation for the products they wear. I have experience with Dr. Hymowitz finding creative solutions to contact lens challenges that other optometrists were either unable or un-willing to do. He finds the best fit based on brand, client feedback, and consideration of cost....he is a well-balanced vision care provider! There have been times that I've tried to schedule my annual vision care visit and other providers were suggested for me to see, but I emphatically declined and reserved my appointment with Dr. Hymowitz....and that speaks volumes because I can be a very "right now" kind of person. I feel confident in recommending Dr. Hymowitz to any first-time eyewear patients as well as patients considering a change in providers. You get the total package--- personable care, wide selection of products, technology, and professionalism.

Dr. Hymowitz is a great optometrist and the staff at Eye Haven are friendly and professional. It's a very nice, new office with all the latest equipment. They have a great selection of frames, and the glasses I got there are my all-time favorites -- I get tons of compliments on them.

I felt welcomed and important from the time I walked in the door. The staff is very friendly and accommodating in every way. All the latest advanced equipment is used to ensure my eyes are healthy, and that I walk out with the best vision correction possible. I made an appointment, and had NO wait time. I'm busy, and that is important to me. Plus, it shows they are organized, and respect my time. The doctor takes his time, and did not rush me through. He worked with me to explain all the options. I tried some contacts, and they scheduled a follow up re-check in a week just to make sure I was happy (no charge). I had nothing but an all-around great experience, and will recommend Dr. Hymowitz and Eye Haven to all my friends and relatives.

My wife and I recently saw Dr. Hymowitz at EyeHaven for the first time after using a coupon we found here on Kudzu.com. The coupon was for $200 off if you spent $20 in the shop! Our exams went smoothly with no hitches, and we were seen on time and didn't have to wait. I wear glasses, and my wife wears both glasses and contacts, and we were really impressed with the quality and selection of the frames there. I got some nice and fashionable frames by ic!Berlin which are just awesome, and my wife got some very fashionable sunglasses. We are both very confused by "JenniferATL's" comments about EyeHaven. It just doesn't make sense - EyeHaven is definitely a boutique shop with "fancy" frames, and not a Pearl Vision, Costco, or Walmart eye shop. (I'm not saying you can't find nice frames in those stores, but you don't expect the latest-greatest and brand names). The coupon/offer said you get $200 off if you spend $20 in the shop, which is simple to understand. I guess that's confusing to some who apparently drink the Obama Kool-Aid and expect something for nothing. Anyway... after reading her post mentioning "cheap and ugly" frames, I guess she must have anger displacement issues and wanted a place to snipe at a good business and staff with no repercussions. Shame on her, and kudos to EyeHaven! :))

I had a voucher worth $200 for this place. However, my voucher was not properly honored, which really started things off on the wrong foot. I went back to begin the exam (or so I thought), and after removing my contacts and undergoing the preliminary tests (glaucoma, etc.), I was told to have a seat back in the waiting room (without my contacts in) -- whaaat?? OK fine. I took a look at the frame selection while I waited. I honestly could not find a single frame under $100, and most were in the $250+ range. Many of them were cheap and ugly, and I cannot believe they think they can charge the prices they do! I didn't even ask what the lenses were going to cost. After being made to wait 30 minutes, still unable to see because my contacts were still out (!), I decided I had had enough crap and asked them to cancel the appointment before walking out. I don't know that I've ever walked out of a place, but I felt so angry and cheated at that point, I couldn't stay. This place is a racket, charges way too much, and the staff are kind of clueless. Don't waste your time or (especially) your money.

Last week I had a problem with my eye during the early evening. Seeing streaks of light and floaters, I feared it was a retinal tear. Panicked, I was able to reach Dr. Hymowitz at Eye Haven and he reassured me based on an over-the-phone discussion (and asking me to do a couple of eye movements and report the symptoms) that it was most likely something I had never heard of -- posterior vitreous detachment. Even though I had not been a customer before, they fit me into their schedule for early the following day. The testing, including some kind of retinal image scanner that I had never seen before, confirmed Dr. Hymowitz's diagnosis. What a relief! (PVD is not nearly as problematic or dangerous as a retinal image tear.) Excellent service by both the dr. and the staff in a pinch, and in a beautiful and comfortable office. I definitely recommend.
