I just had my annual exam and as requested by the staff I wanted to share my experience. I have been a patient for 3 years and always felt that Dr. G and his staff had my best interests at heart. They are always very busy, but everyone offers personal service and listens to my needs and acts on them so I do not mind the wait. They have a great selection of frames and the atmosphere is second to none. Dr. G is always very professional and knowledgeable and he puts me first every time I am there. I feel I am dealing with an expert.

I was there a few weeks ago. I wanted to wait a few days to write a review, as the staff encouraged me since I did have a positive experience. I had decided to come to see these people as I was referred to another doctor but I like to be in charge of my decisions specially when it comes to my diabetes. I have to get yearly routine exams for my diabetes because I am very blind without glasses and diabetes affects my eyes so my primary doctor wants me to get my eyes checked every year. There are two things that I want to make everyone aware of. Number one is the fact that this place is hidden behind offices, you have to search for it so I suggest you call ahead of time and get directions. Number two is that this is a popular place, they were busy from the moment I got there to the moment I left. The staff mentioned they usually are busy so expect a bit of a wait, I was in and out in about an hour and a half between eye exam and choosing my new Oakley eyeglasses. The level of service was superior, the cost is about the same as any optical retailer as I had priced the frames around, the staff was amazingly welcoming, friendly and courteous. The doctor took pictures of my eyes and explained my diabetes. Of all the exams for the diabetes I have ever had this was the most comprehensive and the doctor is very confident.

I was in a very very old, like eight years old pair of glasses ever since I left a newer pair at a hotel in Costa Rica a few years back. I finally decided that enough was enough and even though I primarily wear contact lenses, I really wanted a new pair of glasses.

I didn't see Dr. Gonzalez for my eye visit, but I saw Dr Young. The employee asked what style I was looking for. I had some idea after browsing on their website (worth a look, by the way) so I told her that I wanted a light colored plastic frame, probably not too square in shape. Their selection isn't huge, but what they have is really nice. I also told the person helping me that I was on the lower budget range as far as budget goes. She picked out several pairs of glasses that suited my criteria and gave me honest and really helpful feedback. It turned out that a more square-shaped frame worked best for me because my face is somewhat round or something. After comparing several pairs, I was pretty in love with one frame in particular. I needed some time to think so they wrote down the style number for me.

I comparison shopped at Lenscrafters and found a similar pair I liked, but not as well but the price was still higher than the pair at eye and vision and I decided to go with the glasses I really loved. I also wanted to supporot a local business.

Ok, so I decided to look arround for a new eye doctor. The one in Wylie I have had since 6 years was rather pushy and wanted me to buy glasses even when my prescription had not changed. I started looking online to find a new "eye fixer" as my eyes are terrible! I found this place. I am going to tell you all that happened. I made the appointment online and had a reply the next day with the time and date I wanted. The place is not that hard to find as I had read on some reviews, but you have to go inside the renner busines park. The office is very elegant and clean. The receptionist asked for the usuall stuff, id and the insurance card and I had to fill out a ton of paper work (I later found out you can do this online!). After a small wait, I was taken to these machines to test my eyes and the technician was very sweet and attentive. I had to wait another couple of minutes for the doctor to come in and he was very professionally dressed and was very friendly while being very professional. He encouraged me to ask questions and took the time to answer them, but be careful, he talks! after the dilation (which I hated but he used a kids drop so it wasnt bad) he told me I had some allergies, gave me drops and gave me the prescription for glasses. Everything went very smooth, no pressure, very informative and friendly environment. They have some nice glasses but I decided to take my formula since the eyes have not changed. I definite like them.

Not only was the staff pleasant, doctor Gonzales was phenomenal with my son. He is very shy but by the time he had to put the eye drops they where high fiving and joking as if he was his football coach. After all the tests where done, he remembered all my concerns and addressed them one by one. He also gave my son a good patient trophy. Certainly when I read the reviews I was rather skeptical, but the office staff and the doctor are truly amazing!
