I went today and let's just say that having an abortion is a rough situation. The staff was amazing, facility was so clean, the whole process took 5 hours (not bad at all on a friday). All in all they made the rough situation so much easier to deal with. Im at home now and I feel fine, very little pain/discomfort. I highly recommend this place!

First off, anyone going to an abortion clinic needs to be 100% in their decision. The staff was very friendly/judgment free. The whole process (from check-in until departure) MAY take a good bit of time. Some people complain that it takes forever but it's a pretty serious procedure so naturally it can't be done in 5mins. I was terrified but the staff made me feel like I was in the right place. Definitely better than going to Planned Parenthood. Counselors will help & assist w/ any additional questions. I asked TONS of random questions & got every single one answered w/ deep regard. Yes, there were quiet protestors at the end of the street but they weren't unruly or disrespectful.

They don't tell you that you will come out a changed person. I had an abortion..being pro choice AND agnostic, and even I wasnt prepared for the depression that followed. I wish they would have emphasized it, but they didnt. Even though I went in cause I was sick.. no one helped. I have been suffering from depression ever since, and have RARELY been depressed in my life, and when I was it didnt last long, but now Im depressed to the point where I have to see a therapist because of my abortion. I've called there and had people flat out LIE to me, saying that people are trying to make me feel bad and what Im reading is a lie. She called pro lifers BAD PEOPLE! WTF?! I wish I could take the abortion back, but im going to use the experience to help people. Even if you dont think you want to be a mom, an abortion has a high chance of making you want to be one. I know I do now.

The doctor who manages the assisted reproduction program here is a bully. Everyone we've spoken to, even other folks who work at Feminist, have agreed with us--though of course not on the record. She's also not a reproductive endo, just a GYN, so she doesn't have the expertise to diagnose problems outside of physical ones. While I believe Feminist provides a lot of great care to women in other healthcare areas, I tell everyone I know not to waste money or emotional energy on their insemination services.
