Over 40 yrs experience * ceramic * marble * Brick Pavers * Granite
After searching for the "perfect" granite for a kitchen remodel, my client and I went to Fernis LeBlanc himself to get an estimate on the fabrication. The granite was on hold for us, under my name and my client's name ONLY. Mr. LeBlanc kept wanting to sell us another slab that he had in stock. We INSISTED on the stone that we had already chosen. It took a few weeks after Hurrican Gustav to get out cabinet plans faxed in for an estimate from him and another fabricator to have a comparison price. After we received his and the other persons prices, we made the decision to go with the other fabricator. When our fabricator called to pick up our chosen stone, he was told that the stone had been released and had been sold. We were told that Fernis LeBlanc had put his name on OUR stone as the fabricator WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE and when someone else wanted to purchase the stone, he was called. He told the wholesaler to RELEASE OUR stone, that we didn't want it. HE DID NOT CALL TO ASK US WHAT WE WANTED! He was not hired, nor was he authorized to act on our behalf in any way, shape or form. Now we have the problem of searching for more stone when we had the PERFECT stone. This is totally unethical and unprofessional behavior. Beware of using this company.
