Replaced deck and did a great job. He does most the work himself and was able to complete a 12x24 deck in about a week. His quote was very reasonable and workman ship was excellent. He has a state contractors license and business license. He was up date on codes and passed final inspection with no problems. Lots of contractors give estimates and represent that they are doing the work or will be present and then sent subcontractors or a crew and you never see the owner.
Finegan Home Improvements came out and replaced a 30 year old deck.

Mr.Finegan had arranged twice to come and look at a couple of projects I needed to update my house. The first time he forgot to come. The second time he had some lame excuse and said he would call me back. He never did

I'm sorry that there is miscommunication even with my small business. If this is the customer I remember correctly there appeared to be a conflict in their schedule and mine. Because I was offering a free estimate I try to maximimize my time and my customers' time before agreeing to an initial meeting.
We had a back patio door replaced by Mr.Finegan. His pricing was very reasonable, however the quality of work was very poor with little to no attention to detail. We had to sand the door due to careless caulking. He had to use the caulk because he cracked the door frame on the inside of the house when removing the old door. We had to remove the old caulk and then repaint the inside of the house around the door frame. He scratched the new door in the process of installing it and therefore we had to paint the door. We were surprised that he felt comfortable and proud of his final product. He is your poor stereotypical contractor.

I'm sorry that this customer never called me to complain. I would have been happy to return to the jobsite and correct the situation. I have always been accessible, especially after completing a project.
Mr. Finegan and I spoke one day last week and were supposed to get together for an estimate. He said he preferred to do estimates at night, which was fine, and promised to call that evening "after traffic had died down" to come over. He never showed and never called. I called him the next morning and left a voicemail. He called back, apologized, and we agreed to meet the next evening. I was out of town, so my wife came home from work early to meet Mr. Finegan. Once again, he never showed and still has not called us back to this day. Look elsewhere for a reputable contractor.

Mr. Finegan showed up for the scheduled appointment for an estimate over a month ago, and we have yet to hear from him again. If by "good fit" you mean having a million dollar house off of which you will make an enormous profit, then no we weren't a "good fit." Perhaps Mr. Finnegan should advertise: "Yes, there are jobs too small." In any event, that is still no excuse for not following up and is very unprofessional, not to mention arrogant.

Sometime there isn't a good "fit" with a prospective customer. I try to be up front when I originally have contact with a customer and inform them we both have to be comfortable working with each other. I want everyone to be comfortable since a lot of my business requires me to be inside my customer's homes.
Paul was prompt and efficient. He showed up when promised and completed all work requested at a fair price. I would use him again should I need additional work done.

Paul showed up on time, every time and followed through to get the job done as promised. Reasonable price, good workmanship. Cleaned up behing himself. He knows his craft and is well rounded and experienced. Trust him to take on challenging projects.

You can always count on Paul to complete your job on a very timely basis. His prices are very reasonable. Paul will be honest with the repairs you require and make recommendations to save you money.
