This Firestone is like any other Firestone in terms of expertise. They can do most things and are definitely cheaper than the dealer. However, I have been there several times and they always try to oversell/upsell, so be careful. If in doubt and it's not urgent get a second opinion or take estimate and come back another day. If you mention tire problem or flat they immediatley say it's uneven wear or tire-stem bad and you need a new tire. If you buy one tire they say the others are wearing and you should replace in pairs. They are also quick to say it's your starter. They tried that with me twice and in both cases when I went to teh dealer, Firestone was wrong. For basic stuff and for problems already diagnosed elsewhere they are fine. It's not the quality of work, it's trying to always sell you stuff you dont need. By the way, always ask for coupons or specials. They have them but wont tell you unless you ask.

Subject: Letter of Praise! In this dog-eat-dog world, it is encouraging to find a good and decent person to work with! I’m referring to Mr. Arnold Sherrod who works at your Firestone Location at 3000 Headline Drive, Atlanta GA 30311. My 85 year old mother came to this Firestone location seeking help with her car and told Mr. Sherrod she needed a starter for the car. But, rather than taking advantage of this elderly woman, Mr. Sherrod told her he needed to “check it out” before making repairs. After Mr. Sherrod’s diagnosis, he determined that she just needed a battery and the starter was fine. He could have easily taken advantage of her and said she need a starter and battery too. I thank Mr. Sherrod that he didn’t take advantage of my mother. He has a customer for life for I know I can trust him and he does excellent work! Thank you so, so much Mr. Sherrod for your kindness.
