I went in to this today and was extremely impressed because they actually refused to sell me a ball python today. this was the first actual breeder i have come across that is so passionate about there snakes that they put the snakes well fare above profit. I found cheaper snakes but i want a snake that will last for at least the next 20 years. im beyond impressed and cant wait to return and learn more!!!

Although Fish Scales advertises that they maintain aquariums, I have been unable to get them to show up for scheduled appointments (set by the owners) to actually clean our aquarium. I find this very unprofessional.

I currently have fish scales owner building a rather large system for myself and my wife. Since the first day we walked into the store the owners have been first class in both customer service and workmanship. I have visited just about every fish store in Georgia, and there is no one with the knowledge or the willingness to share his knowledge more than the owner Chris. The store is constantly busy with customers that keep coming back due to the fact that the owners do not just sell a product, but they are there to help you, answer questions, make housecalls, and assist you in any way to make sure every customer is satisfied. I truly believe that they own this store first and foremost becuase it is their passion and they want to educate and teach people about ecosystems and the correct methods to be successful in this hobby. Turning a profit is not this owners top priority. As I stated earlier, I could not be happier with the current build that has been going on at my house on a reef system which will be close to 400 gallons. The owner has spent countless hours ensuring that my system is top notch and countless hours also educating me on the hobby which in no way shape or form, he is required to do. I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone that has a chance to get up to the flowery branch area. You wont be disappointed.

Great place to visit! My 10 year old loved our visit so much he had his 10th Birthday with all of his friends at Fish Scales. Had a blast and super educational too!! Chris and Julie are amazing, so helpful, very gracious, and you can tell that they really love their reptiles and animals that they sell! My kids always have a blast and always beg to go back! My son purchased his first bearded dragon and loves his new pet. Chris is always available to answer all of our questions! Can't wait to go back!!! They are like family.

I originally posted a great review for this store... but that was after just a few months of visiting there. Since then I've become quite disenchanted. Even though I've spent well over $2000 with them this year alone, I feel that they have begun treating me like a 2nd class customer. They took several MONTHS to build me a light kit (they origianlly said it would only take a couple of weeks). The same thing occured when I bought a filter unit from them. It did not work when I got it home, but they took several months to fix it for me, while telling me almost daily "I'll have it done tomorrow". I had hundreds of dollars in corals die while waiting for them to complete these tasks. Then when I expected a credit for the RO unit, I was treated very disrespectfully. I wish things could've worked out better because I really liked these people.

Odd, so as Fish Scales designed and built you a custom light fixture we loaned you HO T-5 lighting until it was complete. What you paid was the cost of the ballast and Fish Scales ate the labor and cost of the bulbs for your custom fixture. The brand new light we loaned you was considered used when we recieved it back so we took a loss there for you as well. You bought a $175 RO unit for $100 because the box got wet. Each time I hooked it up here at the store to test it for you it worked. When I drove to your home to try and help you out we both saw how the restrictor had been damaged but I did not throw blame on you, I simply took the the unit back to the store, ordered new parts for you, like was agreed upon and you chose to order a new unit online by the end of the week. We broke our return policy for you when you came in and recieved close to $200 in corals for your $100 credit. What else can we be expected to do? I did appreciate your business but why could you not just voice your frustration to us at any point. We wish you luck with your ecosystem.
