We went here because it was close to our home. When me and my husband went there for the first time they did clean our teeth only for "10 min" which they called "deep cleaning". We had been to other dentists and had deep cleaned our teeth several times. But this cleaning which they called "deep cleaning" was nothing like that. When dentist deep cleans they inject for local anaesthesia and clean one side of your teeth at a time. But they rubbed something in gum and it was numbed very shortly and they cleaned the whole part of your teeth within 10 mins. After 3 months in our second visit nurse told my husband that he has some periodontical issues (which they never mentioned in his first visit when they took the x-rays)and he needs to do some periodontics maintainance which will cost us $45 which wont be paid by insurance ( our insurance covers regular cleaning in every 3 months ). Right after that ( we had appointment at the same time) nurse told me to do same. When i refused to do so and asked them to do the regular cleaning only, nurse told me I have periodontical issues. I told her that I consulted with a periodontics who suggested that deep cleanings after every 6 months and regular cleaning after every 3 months will take care of my problem. But she insisted that I have to do periodontics maintainance to my teeth in every 3 months and I have to pay $45 from my pocket everytime. She cannot do regular one,if she does she has to go to jail. I never heard like this.

I picked this dental office due to its proximity to our house off McGinness Ferry. Bad decision. When they told me they only had appointments until 2pm because the dentist needed to take care of her child, I was OK with it. And I thought they seemed pretty busy and if people could work around her schedule, she must be good. Maybe she is, but we'll never know. My 13yo daughter was scheduled to see her for a routine cleaning. The appointment took over 2 hours. They took 5 -6 Xray shots of my daughter's face before concluding that their panoramic Xray machine was apparently not working that day. Really? When I gave permission to take an Xray, I meant ONE. Dr. Lyda dismissed my concern about the excessive exposure saying that it was less than "riding on an airplane". Gee thanks, I feel better. Then I get billed for about $289 for teeth cleaning??? My daughter said that the cleaning took about 10 minutes....the rest of the time was spent "taking Xrays". We didn't have insurance, but surely that is excessive. Then when I submitted the receipt to our HSA account for reimbursement, I realized that they billed my daughter as an adult and under my husband's name. It took them about a week to fix that. Basically, this place is a mess, at least when we went in Jan 2011. I'd stay away until they get their act together. I myself had an appointment there the next day...which I cancelled immediately.
