One of the best places I've ate at. My family and I stop by here after a long road trip and we enjoyed everything we order!

So delicous everything was amazing, loved the Lamb, and cheese bread balls. filled up on meat and not so much on the side. La luna negra in pasadena is good too but this place is by far the best B/BBQ!

Now THAT's good eatin'! If you're in the mood for beef, pork, chicken or all of the above, and have a HUGE appetite, this is the place to go! The food is great, the service is amazing, and did I mention the food is GREAT! Try not to fill up on the salad bar, and save room for the main course! Order a bottle of wine, and enjoy. But beware, it can get pricey there...but totally worth it!

I have been to Brazil and have fallen in love with the food there. I would like to return to the country more often but the restaurant will keep my memory of the country alive.

    Carnivore's Welcome!

So I agree with the previous reviewer. You have to reallyyy enjoy meat, red meat to fully get the experience Fogo de Chao has to offer. Although, they have a great salad bar for the vegetarians, at a lower price but c'mon, this place is about the meat!Fogo is an all-you-can-eat steakhouse with unlimited sides, salad and steak, ribs, lamb, chicken, sausage. This is how it works. Everyone pays per head ($49.50) and you get a ""coaster"" where one side is red and the other side is green. Of course, green means go so they keep bringing you meat. When you want a break, flip it to red. Now when it's on green, beware you will be interrupted with huge slabs of meat on gigantic skewers with guys dressed in gauchos and big knives. You request how you like the meat, rare to well, and they'll slice off a little piece of heaven just for you. Also, all the sides (mashed potatoes, fried polenta, fried plantains and something in the form of a popover) are all unlimited as well. So this is generally how my feast goes. I spend a few minutes eating some of the salad bar which features awesome potato salad and chicken salad! But I quickly eat up that plate and prepare for the feast that is about to happen. My favorite choice is the house sirloin, served rare. I ate the most slices of that! So tender and juicy. As stated before, there are a lot of different meats they offer and when you see something you like, shout and they'll be right there, ready to give you as much or little as you want. Now, there are a few places like this around the DC area, Chima being one. I want to say I like the ambiance better at Fogo but the salad bar is better at Chima's. Regardless, this is for the carnivores of the carnivores and you must prepare yourself for such a meal. Upon arriving home, I tend to crash immediately in a meat coma. This is a good thing of course! It's a must go for everyone I know.

    A Meat Lovers Dream
by FaithHayden at Citysearch (Posted to Citysearch)

Make no mistake: you better seriously love meat if you're going to eat here. I mean seriously. You should have dreams about spooning a prime rib at night, taking meat showers, and perhaps marrying a cow. Sound appealing to you? Than read on.... There is no way to fully describe the experience at eating at this place to a person who's never been there. To summarize, it's basically an all-you-can-eat steakhouse but it serves very high quality, incredibly juicy and well-seasoned cuts of steak, lamb, chicken, and pork. You actually get a stop and go sign at your table. Go means men carrying sizzling skewers will aggressively appear at your table saying things like ""bacon wrapped chicken?"" or ""house special?""This restaurant is very fast paced and extremely loud. It's a bit of a tight squeeze and it's always packed. Don't come here expecting to have an intimate conversation; it's not going to happen. Do come here wearing elastic pants. It's probably a good idea not to eat within 6 hours of your reservation because you're about to consume more calories in one meal than you probably do in a weeks time. I'm not joking. The salad bar is really, really good, and offers a variety of meats, cheeses, and salad options. But why fill up on that when you have 13 different cuts of animal to nom on?Sides also come with the meal. The best is the fluffy butter biscuits. Just remember to pace yourself.

    A steakhouse for a vegetarian?
by cooleyc at Citysearch (Posted to Citysearch)

Despite being a vegetarian, I immensely enjoyed dining with friends at Fogo de Chao. My group all agreed that this was some of the best meat they had ever eaten, and they never had to wait more than a minute for more - despite it being a busy Saturday evening. In the end, they probably each managed to eat a medium-sized animal...though I'll admit I chowed my way through a small garden plot. The grilled polenta and carmelized bananas were amazing, too. Somewhat expensive, but you'll get your money's worth.

If you have a special occasion this is a great place to go. The food is amazing and you definitely get your money's worth, just come prepared to eat...a lot! Not a great place for a vegetarian because there is a lot of meat served.

Get ready to eat! You will probably roll out of there, but it's so worth it. The food is amazing, great atmosphere, excellent wine, service is top notch, wonderful salad bar. I have no complaints at all. I can't wait to go back.

    Much ado about nothing

If you are a meat lover, like chain restaurants and have money to burn, this is perfect for you. If you prefer quality over quantity, avoid it. I was shocked that they charged the full adult price for my 11 yr. old son. I mean, how much meat can a kid eat? The place has a gimmick and that's about it. Felt like a hotel or cruise ship dining room. For that kind of money you could have a much better meal elsewhere in the area.

This place offers you a unique service concept of "espeto corrido". That's simply translates (Portuguse I found out while there) for "continuous service". And continuous it is - there's like 10-15 different meats alone you can try any or ALL of them! You can sample the entire menu, or just focus on your favorite foods. This is a very very unique place and very very expensive - but such an enjoyable time you spend eating fabulously prepared foods. It's worth coming here no matter the cost and whether or not your pocket is paying for it!
