do not leave your canine family here! we left two small dogs for over a week and they were so unhappy when we picked them up. we should have known, we were not allowed to walk them to their kennel or set it up with our items. the personal items were not returned, probably too soiled to give to us. they acted as if they had something to hide. the front office manager was unkind, impolite, uncaring and cold. the dogs were upset for two days after coming home. they had very paranoid type behavior and cried for no reason at all. we do not recommend this place. they do not seem like good dog people or good people people.

We were traveling and needed to board our 8 year old MaltiPoo for 4 days. He has never been boarded before. We found Fon-Jon on an internet search which had positive feedback. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly and professional and the rates were fair. We would highly recommend them.

I left my two large dogs at Fon Jon for about two weeks during the holidays. Last week I picked them up from the place, and they both raced to the back of my truck and jumped in. I couldn't touch them during the drive, as I have a barrier which keeps them in the back. I got home and let the dogs into the backyard. My male kept running from me and hiding, his tail between his legs. I was baffled as this is very uncharacteristic of him. I finally chased him down and grabbed him, immediately noticing that his right ear was completely packed with dried blood and ear gunk, and he had dried blood down his neck. He had the worst ear infection I had ever seen in my life, and I've seen a lot of ear infections with these water dogs. I took him to the vet and ended up spending $300 for them to sedate him to clean the ear out and medicate him. The vet was blown away at the condition of the dog and said there was no excuse for the kennel to have not noticed this. Both the vet and I called the kennel to complain about the neglect of my dog, and their answer: They had over 200 dogs there, and couldn't notice the ears of each floppy-eared dog. Guess the blood streaming down his neck couldn't give them a clue.

I have boarded my dog in many different kennels throughout the U.S., and this is by far the worst kennel I have ever used. First, the kennel is extremely overpriced. Second, the front desk attendant (a brunette) is surly and unhelpful. Third, and the worst of all, they stole dog food, using up almost an entire bag of food for a two-day stay, as well as "lost" our dog's toy. When I asked for a reimbursement for the toy, the front desk attendant snapped at me that they weren't liable, and then lied about warning us not to drop off our dog with a toy. My recommendation is to stay away from this kennel.

When I arrive with my dogs, my dogs go crazy. They run as fast as they can to get to the play area. I think they like it better than being home with me.
