While the facilities are very nice at Fountainview, resident health and safety does not appear to be a priority. When my elderly relative did not answer her phone or door for 24 hours, staff refused to enter her apartment upon the family's request to see if she was all right. She had fallen and had been lying on the bathroom floor all night. A similar incident occurred several weeks later, and they only entered after being begged by family members to do so. We were very disappointed with their disregard for her well-being and their utter lack of common sense. Needless to say, we moved our relative to another facility.
