not so great..., 4/25/2007

dr franklin seems very to-the-point. she doesn't take time for you to ask questions, and if you do ask questions, she gives quick answers that aren't very helpful. she left the room after doing a... followup pap for me, and thinking i would see her again, i waited for some questions that were very important to me...she didn't come back, and after asking the nurse if i could see her again and the nurse saying yes, i waited 40 minutes and dr franklin still didn't come back. bottom line, she seems too busy and not caring for her patients. i have to go back soon, and intend to find another doctor (hence my being on this site)! also, the first time i went i tried to explain a problem to her, or ask her a question, and she laughed at me as though my problem was ridiculous and she didn't know why i was asking it...she made me very uncomfortable.

Three-Hour Wait and No Service, 1/02/2007

I had to wait almost three hours to see her. She didn't even apologize when she entered. Very unprofessional. Then she wasn't even able to offer the birth control solution that I wanted. Even I had... specifically asked about it when I made the appointment!

Insensitive, rude and unprofessional

I had the worst experience with Dr. Franklin last week. She was very unprofessional. I was explaining my symptoms to her and she laughed at me. She tried to make me feel like they were in all my head. Going to a gynecologist is awkward enough without being made to feel like you are a second-class citizen because you have not gone to medical school. I would never go back, nor would I ever let my friends/family see her.

Not what I expected

I went to this doctor expecting to get great medical care at the Emory Crawford Long Hospital. The visit was fine, if you don't mind a long wait and the potential of an Emory medical student examining you! The biggest gripe that I have about this doctor is that my tests were sent to a lab that was out of my insurance network (BCBS-HMO) and I had to dispute a bill that was close to $400!!! They were willing to work things out with me, but I did not feel that it was worth my time to deal with an expensive problem that was not my fault!
