Great Dermatologist, 1/15/2014

Very happy with my random trip to the dermatologist. Needed something quick due to a rash and was able to get worked in same day. The location isn't close to home, but it is to work. I was in and... out in no time.

Problems, 12/02/2012

I am sad that I had to find another Dermatologist. I'd been seeing Dr. Gardner for many years and was very happy until the last year or so. He has become more concentrated on the new cosmetic spa and... left most of the everyday operation to his office staff and PAs. He outsourced his billing department to another company in California who are unhelpful, rude and file the insurance claims incorrectly. I don't have time to constantly argue over billing problems! The last straw was a threatening letter that if I did not pay up the amount in dispute that collections would be after me. This was for a bill that I had been going back and forth with their billing company for about a month. Complaints to office staff didn't help so I did the only thing I could and found another practice.

Great Dermatologist

Beware, Beware, Beware!

They use a 3rd party billing company that routinely files my insurance as out of network, even though it is in network (Blue Cross Blue Shield). The billing company is very hard to deal with and they can't admit when a mistake is made even though the insurance company called them and told them to refile correctly to fix the problem!!! Other than that I like Dr. Gardner and Practice. So if you don't mind paying more than you should because of incorrectly filed insurance, then you'll like it here.

Excellent Care

I have been a patient of Gardner Dermatology for 10 years and have always received incredible service by a Staff that seems to genuinely care. Dr. Gardner is extremely personable and talented and Physician's Assistant, TJ Chao is excellent in diagnosis and treatment not to mention his incredible ability to put you completely at ease no matter what the issue might be. I became a client in the med spa about 2 years ago and have enjoyed every treatment that I have received. Beth Warsaw is an incredible aesthetician as well as Jamie, Jill & Daphne. You can count on the entire team of specialist at Dr. Gardner's Office to take care of you and help you in any way that they can.

I HIGHLY Recommend Dr. Gardner!

I have been a very happy patient of Dr. Gardner's for over 10 years now! In that time I have received the full array of services from Dr. Gardner, including a brilliant diagnosis of a very difficult skin rash, chicken pox (as an adult), an extremely "ugly" case of poison ivy, torn ear lobe repair, and cosmetics. Each and every time Dr. Gardner not only met, but exceeded my expectations, and continues to do so. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gardner, and I personally wouldn't trust anyone else in Atlanta for dermatological treatment (and especially cosmetics!)

Great experience, Great Staff, Great Price!

After a long battle with another dermatologist, I decided to see Dr. Gardner. He was knowledgeable and he put me on the track I wanted to be on. It didn't take long for me to see results. It is nice to finally have a doctor who knows what he is talking about! I was also able to experience the med spa as well. On my first visit, Dr. Gardner took me to see the spa. I not only took a tour but was able to schedule a free consultation where they looked at my skin and gave me samples of products, which I really appreciated! I also received a facial with Beth, whom I absolutely loved, and I was more than satisfied with my experience! I will definitely be returning and I have turned my family and friends on to them as well!

Best PA I have ever been treated by

After seeing Dr. Gardner, I was even more impressed with his PA. TJ was extremely knowledgeable, highly informative and kind. They also have a very nice new office. I plan to see the TJ the PA from now on. I have been treated by many PA's in the past, but TJ is by far the best. He should open his own practice.

Love Dr. Alan and Gardner Dermatology! Thank you!

I had a terrible experience with another derm in Atlanta, and was a little nervous to go to Dr. Gardner with some of the reviews about the office being dirty, but everyone in my neighborhood and all of my tennis team strongly recommended Dr. Gardner when I asked which dermatologists they used. I decided to give him a shot, and am so happy I did. His office was not dirty I don't think, just outdated and in need of a paint job. I found out that they have been building a new office and spa since last year. It's in the same building they are in now, and they actually gave me a tour. It was far different from what they have now. The new place is really nice, very high end. They said it will be complete by middle of February. Dr. Gardner helped me with all of my skin issues, I was impressed with them. So glad my friends recommended him, I can tell he cares about his patients, and he did know his stuff better than any other derm I have seen.

Good for emergency situations, but...

The website is great, but not so much for the clinic. It is dirty, cluttered, & not what I expected for a dermatology clinic. Dr. Gardner does seem a bit rushed (the clinic is busy) and I also agree that he is not very personable, but he certainly aided in the diagnosis of my skin issue. His front receptionist freaked me out from the very beginning, and I just knew that I was not going to have the best experience here.

We take pride in our office, and follow all the proper disinfection, sanitation and sterilization procedures. I am sorry that you felt our office was not clean. At the time you were here, we were in the middle of moving into a new office. The walls and baseboards in the old office that you visited did need to be repainted, but I assure you that it was cleaned. We moved shortly after your visit. Having been in practice over 25 years, we had definitely outgrown our office, and needed to expand and remodel. Our beautiful, brand new office and spa is very modern and sleek, and of course clean and sterile up to the highest standards. I apologize again for your experience, and thank you for your feedback. We do everything we can to make sure our patients are completely satisfied.

Great skin care

I have been a patient of Dr. Gardner's for many years. He has always been pleasant and informative re treatment options. He is conservative in his administration of botox, etc. thus providing the patient with a naturally fresh look. The med spa and their staff is also the best. Facilities need updating but since relocation to new space is occurring in near term they have understandably not gone forward with redecorating current office. I consider Dr. Gardner a friend as well as respected professional in his field.

great dermatologist

after trying another well known dermatologist, i am glad to have found dr gardner. his office is extremely busy, but staff was personable, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. also, it did not take me 2-3 weeks to get in like some others. i can tell he is busy, but answered all my questions and i felt like i was in good hands. they found a skin cancer on me that the other doctor did not catch so i am grateful. will definitely recommend.

Mediocre

Gardner seems knowledgeable, but he is often busy and rushed. I usually have to wait for close to an hour to see him, even first thing in the morning. The office is surprisingly dirty, so I'd avoid this place for anything surgical, but for topical treatments or diagnosis he's good as long as you don't mind waiting.

Too Busy

I've been treated by Dr. Gardner eight times in 2008 and he doesn't remember me. He always seems in a hurry. He spreads treatments out over several visits, more money or too many patients? His work and knowledge is excellent, but taking time, listening, and doing thorough examinations is just not there.

I used to go here...

During my last visit, I had a list of approximately 6 items to discuss w/ Dr. Gardner. He addressed 4 of the items, and said "that's enough for today" and left the room. A young "intern", heard this and saw the shock on my face. He asked what are the other 2 items? I had several keratoses that needed to be frozen, so this young man did it. I was shocked by Dr. Gardner's comment. Did he expect me to make a second appointment and pay another $40 co-pay? That comment bothered me so much, that I found another dermatologist (and I had been a long-term patient over several years...).
