VERY disappointed in Geek Squad. I took an external hard drive to have data recovered. They promised to have all completed in 3 days. I got excuse after excuse, including equipment failure (not very reassuring). Finally got the harddrive back today. ONE MONTH LATER and four trips to the store! Gavin, the owner, was extremely rude as well. The data recovered was a mess and the cost was over $600! Do not use this company!

Overall, I would give them five stars for thier services. A month ago, my computer starting acting really funny. Turns out it had some crazy virus on it. I called and talked to a couple different reps that took down my information. When they came out, it did take quite some time. They were here for a good three or so hours. But then again my computer was really messed up. I'm glad that its all taked care of now. For any PC problems I would call Geek Squad. They are very knowledgable about anything and everything with computers.

I called the Geek Squad 800# and the IT representatives were very polite, but they took over 7 -- yes SEVEN -- hours to fix my computer, while I was on the phone. I guess if I would have just dropped it off at one of the service ceneters, it would have been a lot less painless. Overall, the did fix my ailing computer and the price was reasonable.

Only to my WORST ENEMY I would recommend Geeksquad. They should change name to GeekSuck with the slogan "We suck big time". They are THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!! :( WORST EVER. We have spent hundreds of hours on the phone and in person, still NOT RESOLVED!!! THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER, ever, ever dealth with.I personally HATE Geeksquad that should be ashamed of selling their crappy services and charge for them. People should get paid to talk with these jokesters!!!! In short: THEY SUCK. I HATE THEM with I am a very nice person with Masters Degree who like to like people and companies. Geeksquad, I just HATE.

I had 2 people out that were not really professionals, just ppl who knew aout computers and networking. I was just trying to network 2 or 3 computers so we could share our database at the office. The 2 guys mucked it up, so I called these guys. I only wish I had done it sooner. We gigled at his corny badge but he knew his stuff and if I said "I want this" he said "ok" and tapped some keys and made some calls and it was DONE. Just like that. He ordered more licenses for my software, recommeded and installed a backup program which I really needed and set it up to where I don't have to do a thing except work, no more IT worries. Well worth the $250 plus I tipped him 50 bucks and if I have a problem I am not calling another friend of a friend who "knows computers", I am calling the Geeks back. Yay Geeks!

I think the title says it all. I took an HP laptop in that was giving me trouble. I had tried re-formatting and re-installing windows and that had not worked. They tried this and did a lot of trouble shooting. Finally, they found the hard drive was giving "intermittent" trouble. We replaced the hard drive and had all the programs re-installed. This was a waste of $500. I may be miss directing frustration with the HP, but not all problems were found, a lot of money spent and I ended up having to buy a new computer. NOT HAPPY.

Our computer was just crawling because of the extra spyware on it. I cleaned all that I could and wanted help with the rest. I paid for the operating system tune-up. However, they weren't able to eradicate the extra parasites. They suggested re-installing the operating system. Fortunately, I can do that myself. However, I was charged for running diagnostics, which was not what I asked them to do.

over charges for services. The services that they claim they perform for reasonable prices are not so. These are simple things that you can do on your own for 80% less..

These are my favorite Geeks for sure. They are terrific. The Geek Squad is a little corney with their Geek outfits and badges but they sure know their stuff.
