To be fair and complete: after contacting Gem about their overcharging (and telling them that I was posting on-line reviews) they said that it had been a "mistake" and that I should have been charged only $1200 (instead of the $2300 that I was charged) and that I would be refunded $1100. Better- but note that this is still more than double what the oild company would have charged. They openly admitted that they charge more than oil companies. So I continue to say BEWARE. For any heating issues, DON'T CALL GEM. Call your oil carrier. I am suspicious of their plumbing prices too.
