Fun
We had a great time at the aquarium, but I think it's a little expensive. Besides being over-priced, the natural beauty of the sea life is undeniable. It might be a pricey outing for the whole family, but worth it, at least once.

I watched a fish get eaten
This place is the most interesting place I've been in town. You get to see fish and whales from all over the world. You have people really knowledgeable that can tell you about anything in the tanks and they do excellent recycling work.
However, you don't have a single path to walk through and I always feel like I missed something. The place smells a little like brine and the food is incredibly subpar and overpriced for what you receive. The ticket price is high in my opinion but I know a lot of the money goes to research and outreach programs. And you can ocassionally watch a fish get eaten by a shark.

Not that great
The aquarium is pretty boring. The Atlanta zoo is a much better experience. All you can do at the aquarium is walk around and look at things. Older kids aren't even allowed in the play area, which is sad. It would be better and cheaper to take your kids to the zoo or the Fernbank museum as the aquarium really isn't worth the hefty price. It cost $70 for me and 2 kids to go. Luckily the baby was free.

AMAZING
As someone who has always worked in the animals 'industry', I am far more aware of what correct and pleasant conditions for caged animals are.
Normally places like zoos and aquariums leave me depressed, as I see the improper food, housing, and care that the animals receive.
This is not the case with the Georgia Aquarium. I was very impressed with the entire facility. The animals living there receive proper care, mental stimulation, food, and housing.
Unlike similar facilities, the Georgia Aquarium is far more concerned with the health and happiness of it's inhabitants than with making a buck. These people go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the animals are healthy and happy.
For a truly mesmerizing and wonderful experience, I highly recommend the Georgia Aquarium. For anyone that even just likes animals, a trip to the Georgia Aquarium will be a truly unforgettable and valued experience.

meh...not too impressed
for being the largest acquarium in the world i think it should live up to its title. it doesn't. it's just another museum. go in, pay, walk around, look at water life, go home. it's more of a default place because there's not that much else to do if visitors come to atlanta.
