BE AWARE...Product will NOT be delivered as promised. We ordered two beds for our new daughters room in early December as part of their Christmas present. We were promised delivery in mid January. However, they did not arrive as promised. When we called in mid January to see where they were they assured us that they would be delivered by February 11. Well that date passed two. They finally called us to tell us they arrived on March 2nd. But, one of the beds did not have the slats that hold the mattress with the bed....They took NO RESPONSIBILITY for the delayed delivered and said it was not their fault, but instead the manufacturer....BE AWARE....Especially if you are planning a nursery for a newborn....

My wife and I are expecting our first child. Due in August! We did our homework, read reviews of Atlanta stores and searched the baby bargains Bible for the best furniture on the market today. We looked at alot of stores in Atlanta and weren't happy with the quality nor the sales peoples lack of helpfulness and attitudes....Until we went to Georgia Baby in Norcross. The sales staff was very helpful and informative regarding the furniture we selected. We were concerned about products recently coming out of China...so they relieved our concerns and answered all our questions with expert advice. We had always heard their name from our friends who had bought furniture there in the past. They had the most selection, best quality furniture and at the best price for what it is! We wanted something that would last thru our 2nd or third child if need be..and we found it. The staff was great. Limited parking if there on the weekend...was our only negative. Most all the furniture we selected was in stock and we were able to have it delivered in a few weeks as soon as we got the room painted. Very happyparents2be. Thank you Georga Baby!

We looked around lot of places and did find the furniture at this store. The sales staff was pleasant and we actually picked up our furniture. We called and explained the problem to the store mgr, Andy, who explained that it'll be taken care of. The problem started when we asked if they will be picking up the damaged furniture and deliver the replacement. He said they don't do that. If furniture is damaged, I would expect them to deliver and pick them up as well. That's called "customer service." After spending over $3000 on new furniture, I expect that much from the store. He kept on saying it was the "store policy" even though that was never mentioned nor written anywhere in the store or on the receipt paper. They probably don't mention that b/4 the purchase b/c they're afraid of customers' reaction. If I knew the fact beforehand, I wouldn't have purchased the furniture. To me after service is more important than anything else. If you didn't/don't have to deal with any issues at this store, good for you b/c I wish I didn't either but it's very disappointing to know that this experience has to change my whole view of this store when it started out good. Going a little further to satisfy your customers would be so much more beneficial to them as a whole but obviously, they don't think like that.

My wife and myself purchased baby furniture the week after the Florida-Geogia game 2007. Being first time parents, we wanted to have nice furniture for the first child, so we ended up spending $1,900.00 for a furniture set. Upon recieving and setting up the furniture, we noticed the drawer on one piece of furniture was being scraped by the sliding mechanical part. Making an effort to email with pics of the problems we were experiencing, we were told to drive back Covington, Ga(1.5 hrs). Georgia Baby wanted to make no effort to resolve their below grade quality furniture problem. We have resorted to writing the Better Business Bureau in an effort to resolve their problem. I would encourage your to shop else where, so that you don't experience the same problems we have.

This was the best experience I've ever had shopping for Baby furniture. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. We had shopped at other stores, but the staff was rude and the delivery time was 12-14 weeks. We actually left with our baby furniture the same day. Thanks Georgia Baby and Kids

Unlike some of the reviewers on here complaining about delivery, Im not quite that spoiled. But i do know quality furniture when I see it and that is what I wanted for my Nursery. My husband and I wanted the best quality at the best price and that is what we found at Georgia Baby. We had looked at all the stores in town and was very frustrated at the quality and limited selection of furniture for our first baby. From the moment I stepped in I was overwhelmed with the selection of furniture , not to mention their one of a kind accessories. The sales staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of what I was purchasing and apparently they have goten their problems resolved with delivery, for it went very smoothly and professionally. I hope others will find my positive review helpful and not waste alot of time looking at other places for some things do take longer if you order them like our glider, but they also havealot of items & furniture in stock if that is what you are looking for. We bought and had our crib and changer delivered the next day. Have a Blessed Day !

I stepped foot into this store when I was about 7 months pregnant shopping for the nursery. I felt like I was at a used car dealership with the smarmy customer service that I was greeted with. Nothing but sugar-coated brown-nosed comments about what I should buy. When I was ready to make a purchase, I was quickly asked to take a seat, as they would be handling another customer's shopping needs. I waited and waited in a chair at their front desk for over 20 minutes. I asked another salesperson if I could go ahead and pay... and was told to keep waiting. I knew right then that I was shopping at the wrong store and last thing I wanted to do was give them my money. I left and ended up shopping elsewhere for our entire nursery and think I couldn't have made a wiser decision, especially after reading these reviews!

Ga Baby seemed to be highly recommended in the Atlanta area, so my wife & I went there to buy the furniture for our first baby. While Brady the sales person was extremely nice & helpful up to the point that they got our money ($3,200) both He & Andy the store manager we completely rude, combative & outright lied to us about the status of our order & delivery. Our furniture came in on time & was scheduled for delivery. Their "Highly reputable & professional" delivery & assembly company was 4 hours late to deliver our furniture, and came to my house with no tools to assemble the crib. The back of the Natart crib that we bought did not correctly match up with the sides so their delivery man wanted to borrow a drill from me so he could re-drill the holes. I am sorry, I just paid $1400.00 for a crib, I am not letting some half wit drill holes in it! He then refused to take the crib back with him & said he would not leave my house until I signed paperwork agreeing that everything was in good order. Ga Baby did nothing about this, continued to lie to us about when the replacement part would be in, never called us back, then when the part came in they sent this psycho back to our house to deliver it. He was again 5 hours late & when I called to ask for my delivery fee back I was told "well it was delivered wasn't it?" Stay away from this company! This is not a time in your life you want this kind of stress!

We purchased over $6000 worth of furniture from Ga Baby & Kids. Were told they used a very reliable outside delivery service for furniture delivery. The furniture arrived at their warehouse in the timeframe they promised. They required full payment before delivery could be set up. Once paid, however, the "reliable" delivery service provider was suddenly no where to be found. Ga Baby & Kids had no alternative delivery service and were not willing to attempt to recommend or find another one. We were told that getting it delivered was our problem--not theirs. If you don't already have a way to get furniture delivered to you--DO NOT BUY FROM GA BABY AND KIDS! Service after the sale is absolutely non-existent.

I purchased my second bed from this company. The first purchase went fine because I saw the bed on the floor. The second purchase was not. I met with the salesperson & gave her very specific criteria for the bed I wanted including no holes where my 19 month old could put her head thru, low to the ground, solid headboard & footboard. I asked if we could use mattress only with this bead & was told yes because I wanted the mattress close to the floor. Now I got the bed & there is about a 12" gap between the solid headboard & mattress (this gap was not shown in the brochure). The manager displayed poor customer service and would not do anything to correct problem other then to tell me they could credit the bunky board (the board you put underneath when using mattress only for support) I purchased for underneath & then sell me a boxspring (which I didn't want due to height. I am stuck with an unsafe bed for my child which I will need to modify myself. They are ok when everything goes well, but buyer be aware because if something goes wrong even if it's their fault, there is no caring for the customer. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I requested to speak to the owner & was told the owner was not a hands on owner and would not speak to me.

Given that this store sells products to pregnant women, you would think they would be a little better with customer service. WRONG. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I purchased a $1,000 custom-order glider approximately 5 months prior to my baby's due date, knowing it would take 12 weeks to make. 10 weeks after I ordered it, I began calling the store to check the status. Each time I called (about 4 times), I was rudely dismissed and told "it will be here." After 13 weeks, I get a call stating that the glider had NEVER been made. The salesperson told me that it was "not her fault" and there is "nothing she can do." No offer to reduce price, no consolation, no nothing. Now I am stuck without a glider and having to scramble. I am absolutely furious and I hope that I can steer people away from a store that does not deserve business.
