Last time I went, the doctor ordered at least 5 different tests without my approval and I did not know the cost until I received all the invoices. There is the office charge for each individual test and the actual cost of the test on top of it. A normally $250 office visit cost me over $950. Plus, I have not received the results from all these extensive tests, when I was told I would receive a call about it. I also had trouble with the payment portion of the office. Besides the terrible attitude, they charged me today for the same amount that was deducted from my account last week. The office did not even know that a payment had been received. I had to send payment to them multiple times due to it getting lost somewhere. I like the doctor, if only everyone was on the same page as her. I also called to talk about the tests that were done and she pawned me off to billing assuring me that billing could answer specific questions about the tests that were done. Of course billing knows nothing about the tests except what they cost. Of course not what is paid - back to the double charge issue. Due to their lack of (something - what I don't know) when they collect payments from my health flex account it is not coded as a health expense, so it messes up my account until I manually send a receipt. When I asked about it, she basically said that the fact that all the patients that have to manually send their receipts because of them is not important enough to them to fix it.
