When we started our pool building process we had a basic idea of what we wanted. After speaking with Joe, he took our ideas, offered a few others, and continued to work with us to tweak our design. The outcome was just incredible. whenever I'm sitting in my backyard I still can't believe I'm at home and not on vacation somewhere. We had a few minor issues (you always do)that were all resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. The equipment used is the best on the market as well and we've had no issues there. I would highly recommend Georgia Classic Pools!

After researching for three years for a pool company, asking neighbors and friends about their pools I discovered one common theme. Everyone loved their pool, but would NOT recommend their pool company! I finally found GA Classic Pools on HGTV. Joe and Vance are great! They walked us through each step with great detail. Our pool was completed in less than 60 days just like we asked for in the beginning. During the construction phase, I constantly received emails letting me know what would take place the next day and what time they would arrive! We were out of town for the last two weeks of our pool completion. Joe and Vance went out of their way to keep us informed. They emailed us pictures of our backyard daily so we could see the progress while we were gone. To this day, if I have questions/concerns Vance will reply to me in less than 24 hours. I am so pleased with every aspect of our pool and the company I used.

We just finished enjoying our 2nd swim season with the Pool that Georgia Classic Pools built for us. What I appreciate most about them is that even after a few years, Vance and his team are there to answer any questions, concerns, and point us in the right direction for upgrades and other related projects. A couple of observations in thinking back to construction: 1. Georgia Classic was not the cheapest, but they were not the most expensive either. What I appreciated from the beginning was their willingness to work with us on our ideas during the design phase. 2. Like all big projects, things can go wrong. We had a few "mis-steps". Each time, Vance and Joe demonstrated honesty, integrity, transparency and were responsive to make things right. This is tough to find in contractors these days. 3. Their crew is excellent. Some people subcontract out tasks and you may never know what you will end up with. Not these guys --- they have worked with their crew for many years. They are talented and hard working. I have no reservations in recommending them whatsoever.

Originally planned to interview three companies. Once we met these guys, we knew they were right for us. The work was done with excellence, on time, and on budget! You will be glad you called them because we are not the easiest folks to please and their entire team was terrific to work with!

Pros: Excellent design, project completed in 6 weeks, accurate quote. Cons: Biggest complaint is $1k+ in sod all dead and nothing was done to fix this (no partial credit, no replacement sod offered???). Forgot to give us polaris cleaner that we'd already paid for. Due to carelessness there is a large imperfection right in middle of pool deck. Brand new heat pump was dropped on concrete during installation. etc. etc.

We are so happy we chose Georgia Classic Pool!!! We knew nothing of any pool companies in the Atlanta area and after reading many nightmare stories from reviews of pool companies, were careful to research our options. We were looking for a company that we felt was reliable, honest, provided good quality, and above all, was trustworthy to deliver on what and when they promised. We found Georgia Classic Pool to provide all of the qualities that we were looking for in a pool company. We were very happy with their service and our pool and spa. They worked with us on the design throughout the process and were flexible. They actually cared about what we were looking for in the pool and went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. They made us feel like family. They were also true to their word when it came to the pool costs. There were no last minute "surprises". I would select them without hesitation if I ever build another pool. We have no regrets. Pool Built in 2008, Woodstock, GA.

My pool was built in early 2009. It is beautiful and the company did exactly what they said they would do when they were suppose to do it. They even called to say when they couldn't work due to weather. I rarely recommend companies, but this pool company is unbelievable, and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Best value around!!!

We called an interviewed three companies, Vance at Georgia Classic listened to what we wanted in a pool, and then designed this plan that specifically met our best hopes, and exceeded many of our expectations. We had made lists of questions during the beginning of the job, that we never had to ask, because Vance and Joe attended to our concerns during the course of the job. You know you have a lot of intrusive activity going on with a pool, but the guys were really very considerate about us. We started to go out and give the guys food and drinks when they were working, and a group of men from Portugal who were very skilled, cut and shaped beautiful flagstone and made a coping around the edge of the pool that follows the kidney shaped curvature. Their ability to work with stone and concrete in creating pools and outdoor features, creates very natural, and inviting settings that look great and last a life-time. We had a retaining wall installed with our pool, which collapsed due to hydrostatic pressure two years later, after enduring some 72 hours of continuous rainfall. I called the Georgia Classic to do the job of rebuilding the wall. I was ready to pay for the cost if needed, but they made a decision not to charge for the repair. They were not required to cover that but they decided to. I recommend this company to everyone I know who wants to something made of concrete or stone created for their yard. Pool, pond, waterfall, outdoor living space, water-slide,landscape.
After researching several pool companies, we decided on Georgia Classic Pool to install our new pool this summer(2010). They delivered a wonderful product at a good value and in a very timely manner. Joe and Vance were both great to work with, offering suggestions along the way and keeping us informed of every step. Any questions or concerns that we had were always addressed immediately. It was a pleasurable experience thanks to them and we are just thrilled with our new pool! Milton, GA
While building a pool can be a difficult task, Georgia Classic Pool makes the end result worth the wait. We were nervous that after the last draw was paid, that the customer service would end- with Georgia Classic Pool that is not the case. Call them- you will love your pool!
I agree with the above review. While the Dover Brothers are "good guys", they are TERRIBILE business people based on my experience. In my opinion, they are more about getting the job done quickly (but still twice as long as promised) regardless of what you want and do not provide quality work. I believe they have changed their name once again and are now calling their company Georgia Outdoor Living. I think this is their 3rd or 4th name change - probably due to their bad reputation. Joe Dover can also become irate when you disagree with him on something. When I pay a company as much money as I did them, I expect not to be sworn and yelled at.

If you don't do business well, then just change your name. Great eye for landscaping, poor business operations, poor follow-up and good luck getting the last 10% of your work completed. I would run fast!!
