Contracted with Georgia Remodeling to redo 2 bathrooms. I am giving them 2 stars only because the quality of the work was good. However, it was very frustrating getting it finished. What was supposed to be a 4-5 week job turned into 3 months. Constant delays. Many weeks no one showed up to do any work at all. One worker was completely incompetent and after complaining to Dave another worker had to redo much of the first one's mistakes. Once "finished", it was impossible to get any response from them regarding punch list items that needed to be addressed. We are still left with a plumbing issue that has not been right since installation, but Dave refuses to respond to e-mails or voice messages. When I did finally get an e-mail, he said he would send out a plumber and I set up a time. I took time off work and no one showed up. Have not heard from him since. I would not recommend this company.

They only did the smallest portion of the job -WRONG- failed to show to any of the remaining work or fix what little they did do. We are disputing deposits through our credit cards. I even adjusted the dispute to allow for some labor and parts to be fair, but have had to pay another contractor to redo the work. Worst of all...WITHIN WEEKS THE WIFE OF DAVE FRANK, NATALIE FRANK, INCLUDED ME ON HER PERSONAL BANKRUPTCY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Updated to original post: I have a sinking feeling...I am also having problems with Scot Sibley and Dave Frank. I really hoped that it is typical contractor scheduling issues, but after seeing recent reviews I am seriously concerned. Materials have not arrived (2 weeks turned to 2 more and now it's been 2 months! One says he confirmed windows are in -the other says they are back ordered because they are discontinued - complete disconnect), work has been pushed back repeatedly and today they were a no show and won't return calls or emails. The past reviews show they had it together at one point. They don't seem to now. Regretably, I too will be forced to looking at what recourse I can do to get deposits back. I can't speak to value or quality because they have barely done any of the work they contracted for. Ms. Leahy

I hired Georgia Remodeling based on their reviews and impressions given during the estimation process. The interactions were good up to that point. They were remodeling my bathroom with an estimated 2-3 week time frame. For most of the time, there has been only one worker at the house. Three weeks have come and past and now they are having to rip out all the work that they have done so far because tiles were offset, crooked, and poorly done. Workers show up at random times and Scott Sibley, the project lead, rarely returns phone calls and when he does it is not in a timely fashion. See examples below. [8/2/12] At this point they have Scott Sibley from my project and say a new team will return on 8/6/12. [8/7/12] I have still not received a call from the company. The main office number has a voice mail for a different company and the owner Dave Frank has cancelled his cell phone. I am working with American Express to have the charges reversed and am seeking legal action. Do not trust this company. I hope that no one has to go through this.

I dont own the company, jeremy fulton of atlanta.
Based on Kudzu's reviews, I thought I had a winner. Scott came out for the estimate. Based on our discussion, I felt I didn't need to get anymore quotes and called him that afternoon to schedule the work. I really regret that action. This company has very poor communication and even worse follow through. I had to follow up three times over a week to get an actual date. Then the morning that the work was to start, he leaves me a message saying that he had the wrong date. I made three more attempts to get the work done. In each case, Georgia Remodeling was a no show with no follow up communication. Each time, I had to follow up and each time, I was given an excuse. This last time, they were suppose to come out last friday and again was a no show with no phone call to say they weren't coming. When I called Scott to say that I will be going with another subcontractor, he blamed it on the weather. Yet, most of this week has been dry and only rained couple times overnight, including last friday. I don't understand why they strung me along. I've had contractors decline the work for various reasons and I completely understand. But don't tell me you are going to do it and string me along for four weeks.

No just you, that is what happens when you do not pay your contractor as contract states.
I hired this company based on the rave reviews I read. I am not sure if there has been a change in managment or ownership, but this was a terrible experiance. I had to get my own materials a lot of the time they said they did not have and account with this supplier or that one. If Home Depot did not have it I had to get it myself. Then they could not keep the deadlines we agreed on and they kept blaming me for the delays. I was told go buy my plumbing fixtures so I did then they sat for 5 months waiting for them to finish sheetrock and tile. They tied up thousands of dollars of my money because they demanded 50% up front. I had several friends ask if I would reccomend them, my answer was not even gto my worst enemy.

I am positive this is either Thomas Huff or Angie Huff posting a negative review about me and my company (ex-employees), who stole from us and were so angry that they would do this. Please show me my contract that we signed on your job and I will refund the 50% deposit (or as stated in the contract). We are not this type of company nor do we ever treat customers as stated. I tried to have this review removed from Kudzu.com but here was their reply. hank you for contacting us about the recent review of Georgia Remodeling LLC. Your concern was forwarded to our Site Operations team, and we are writing to inform you of the results.

We hope this feature addresses some of your concerns. Thank you for choosing Kudzu. Its amazing to me that Kudzu.com being a Cox Communications company does not have the technology to track down reviewers like this and prosecute for slander and interruption of a business' operations which are criminal offenses. In addition, when a business (in these tough economic times) downsizes or has to make a brand new approach to our business model employees that thought they were "safe" is not the case at all and are usually the ones that ruined the business to begin with by theft, poor performance, and slander. Look at our other reviews and look at our work and you will see that we are the leader in the remodeling business for the southeast United States.
Always wanted to remodel my kitchen and add space to it with an island without doing an addition. New appliances, countertops, sink, faucet, paint, and gorgeous cabinets with just the perfect lighting for me. Designed and installed by Georgia Remodeling and Renovation, its suites me perfectly. Great service, respect, and multi talented workers with attention to detail made me very happy. I would recommend to my neighbors and friends.

If you were to look up the definition of Customer Service in the dictionary it would show Dave Frank's name. We interviewed a handful of contractors when we started to explore a possible home addition (adding approx. 1,000 sq. ft. of living space + an attached two car garage). GA Remodeling was our hands-down choice to lead this project - owed primarily to Dave Frank and his tireless commitment to see us through a vision process. While we elected to postpone the project due to financing, Dave worked diligently for months to build trust and earn our business. He was honest with us and was precise in setting expectations about the entire process - from designing and constructing to inspecting and billing. He listened to what we wanted and needed and he worked hard to design a space that would meet our objectives from a functional perspective, but even more importantly, he brought creative perspective to the discussion to ensure we could create something we all could be proud of and that our family could enjoy. We highly recommend Dave and his team!

We recently had our kitchen redone. It was our first remodel using a contractor, and we were nervous about how it was going to be done. Dave and his crew were very helpful with advice. The cabinets are lovely! When we had questions or a problem came up, solutions were quickly found. The only thing I would not do again, and this isn't the fault of Ga. Remodelling, is that I wouldn't get granite again. I would get quartz. But you live and you learn. Thanks Dave and crew!

Georgia remodeling was $1500 dollars higher than the next bid, but Dave and his team have a trust factor about them and my gut was right. Big addition with a kitchen remodel, awesome cabinets, on time and on budget. Simply the best.

We recently did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Georgia Remodeling did the electrical, tile, paint and appliance installation and we couldn’t be more pleased with how things turned out. Everyone we dealt with was professional and in many instances, went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and to our satisfaction. They showed up on time and kept to our schedule. The end result was better than we expected and the price was very reasonable. Given this experience, we will be calling them back for future remodeling jobs and I would highly recommend them your next job.
