I had over 4k of sod installed several patches that were dead. TGhey refuse to replace the dead grass they installed!!!
I paid to have $2750 worth of centipede sod installed at my house because the owner said it would do great in shady areas. I lost 85% of it: 100% of what was planted in back and 20% of what was... planted in the front. The owner agreed to replace whatever I lost come this spring with a grass that would survive. He kept his word and replaced my backyard free of charge with brand new fescue sod. Great company.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Sod was cut in very uneven thicknesses and strewn with crabgrass. Some squares were so thin that the roots were severed which, soon killed parts of many squares. They were cheaper than the competition but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I spent the next two and a half months pulling crabgrass clumps out by its roots. You can't use weed killer because it is new grass. Four months later I still have dead areas where the sod was cut too thin. What a disappointment! I would not recommend this company for sod.

I hired Georgia Sod and Turf in the winter to install Zoysia, and if I reviewed after the install I would've given them 5 stars for quick response, great prices, and quality installation. However, I was promised a "Spring Green Up Guarantee", and I wouldn't have chosen them without it since other companies offer the same. About 20% of my lawn did not green up all in two large patches, which means that particular sod was poor quality (never looked great from the start). Their guys came out once, said give it a few more weeks of water and fertilizer. I did just that, and while the rest of the lawn looks great, that 20% went from dying to dead. One month of unreturned phone calls and emails later, and I replaced the sod myself out of my own pocket. As I said, they would've had a 5 star rating from me. I even recommended them to friends. But poor customer service and follow through on their promises has lost them a customer and my recommendation.

The guys at Georgia Sod and Turf Grass were easy to work with. I submitted a request online for a quote to re-sod my front yard. I received an quote back in hours and scheduled an appointment the following week. Their quote for the grass and installation was cheaper than just the grass on my other 2 quotes. The 5 pallets of sod were delivered the night before and the guys went right to work removing my old dead sod first thing in the morning. It was a low stress low hassle install for me. The job was finished the same day for the price in the quote. No surprises and no upsales.
