We interviewd several pediatricians when I was pregnant, all around Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Roswell and Alpharetta and are SO glad we chose Dr. Gfroerer (gruh-fair) at Dunwoody Pediatrics. He is a very friendly, knowledgable, gentle doctor, who my 1-year old daughter has seen the whole past year. She gives him big smiles every time he comes in! We have been delighted with his expertise and very clear explanations and instructions for her care. He has kept her on the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule for immunizations and keeps up to date with the publications in his field. My daughter has thrived under his care and we couldn't recommend him more highly. A couple times the office waits were long, but start on time if you have an early morning appointment. The voicemail system at their office can be frustrating, lots of machine options before getting to a human being. The nurse triage line is one where you leave a message and get a call back same day. That has worked well for us when there's something amiss but not worthy of a doctor visit. The nurse practitioner in the same office, Michelle Barton, is a GREAT nurse who has helped us out a couple times for sick visits. She has a very friendly, warm personality and was right on target with her diagnosis for my daughter the couple times we saw her.
