Had a pair of jeans altered here. They were done a day early and I came to pick them up. I learned that Gill's has been here since 1991 and that she has been doing alterations since the 70's. Nothing trumps experience. Will return here for all of my alteration needs.

Sandy altered a maid of honor dress for an upcoming wedding I am attending, and did a fantastic job. The dress was several sizes too large, and now fits me like a glove. The dress was ready on the promised date, and I am thrilled with the result!

I was frantic in trying to find an alterations buisness that would be able to take up the bottom of my dress (as it had the plastic wire built into the hem to give it a wavy look). The woman who does the alterations was fantastic! She found a way to alter the dress and it looks amazing. Great price as well!

Gill's Alterations' service, promptness, and value are without equal in the Marietta area. Everyone at Gill's is courteous and helpful. They offer one hour alterations and were able to custom fit my suit in days, and the value of their services is extremely competitive. I will continue to use Gill's Alterations and recommend them to my friends and colleagues.

I have tried twice now to like the work from Gills, but both times I have walked away not happy with the services provided. I think they are probably good with easy alterations, hemming suit pants, etc, but I had two suits that needed the arms shortened. I would not recommend Gill's for this type of alteration. One of my suits had uneven arms upon pickup and I had to go back and get them to fix. The other suit was fine, but still not up to the level that I have received from alterations at other places. In addition, when shortening the arms of the two suits they refused to shorten the arm by adjusting from the shoulder and they simply shorten the sleeve at the wrist and then remove a button at the wrist if needed to keep the jacket looking legit. I will not be going back and cannot recommend for mens suit alterations.

I recently bought several suits and needed them altered. After reading other reviews I decided to go to Gills. I was not disappointed. I had a suit, a pair of pants, and 2 other items had patches sewed on. All done perfectly and cost effectively. Worth the drive.

I brought in a dress that was at least a size too big, but you would've never been able to tell if you saw the result! Sandy was able to transform my dress into a head-turning outfit for my 21st birthday!

The first time I went to Gill's, I asked them to alter a bridesmaid dress that literally fit like a garbage bag. It was way too large! They had to reconstruct the seams of the dress in order for the straps, waist, and the back of the dress to fit my body. The dress left little to the imagination, and they created fabric to conceal some of my cleavage. It turned out fantastic! Since this dressed turned out great, they have altered plenty of clothes for me. I have asked them to alter 7 pairs of jeans, 9 suits, 5 skirts, and 5 dresses. All of the clothes look perfect! By the way, if you are short like I am, be certain to ask them to attach the original bottoms to the jeans. They are fast, and they can provide same day service for an additional fee. They always have provided excellent customer service. Gills is family owned and operated. I highly recommend Gills. They always do a perfect job!

I rarely buy expensive pants because I don't trust people to hem them- too many bad experiences. But I splurged an took my jeans to Gill's and they did a fabulous job. And it was done in half an hour and it only cost me $5 more. But beware- They only take cash or in-state checks, but the walk to the ATM up the street isn't bad.

I elected to try Gill's based on other reviews read here. They were quick and courteous and I was extremely happy with the results. A tad pricey but definitely worth the investment. Like another reviewer, I'm short and my jeans were altered with the hem re-attached where you can't even tell. I'll definitely be going back to them.

Gill's is the best alteration service by far. If you need the work done the same day, they will do it for only a little more money. Every garment I've had repaired or altered at Gill's has looked amazing when it was returned to me.

I'm short and they are quick. I take all my jeans there, and for five extra dollars, they will complete the work in a few hours. They even reattach the hem so it looks like the jeans have never been altered.
