I was a girl scout in this council and I have been volunteering for the last 8 years as an adult. It is a wonderful organization that has so much to offer girls and I am a product of what great volunteers can give. This organization has given me so much and I treasure the memories and experiences I have gained. MEN AND WOMEN should volunteer! There are many ways to help out and badges and activities range from scavenger hunts across atlanta, to career days about Technical and Science jobs, to camp outs, engineering, desktop publishing, dance, and more. You do not have to be an outdoors person! I love volunteering....trust me if you can breath, there is something for you to do! JOIN NOW!!!

I've been involved in Girl Scouts for 4 years. During this time, I have been very impressed with the quality and accessibility of the leader development programs that are provided for the leaders. There are many wonderful programs planned for the girls, so that new leaders like myself have preplanned activities they can take the girls to in order to get their feet wet. The camp grounds are well kept. The store in the center is very well organized and the salespersons are helpful. If you have a daughter, I would fully recommend her participation in the Girl Scouts.

I have been involved with the Girl Scouts Council for 4 years now and I am tremendously impressed with the leaders all the way up and down this organization. The programs that are developed for the girls are all phenomenonal. And the girls involved are truly being prepared for leadership roles in our society. If you have a young daughter get her involved soon and let her grow with the Girl Scouts. If you have a teenager, there are ways for her to be involved, too, that will hone her leadership skills and prepare her for life.

I have been a leader for the past 6 years and it has been an amazing experience. The Council has many wonderful programs and opportunities for young women. The staff at the Council are very helpful and they provide a variety of training and resources for leaders. It is very fufilling to see the impact being a Girl Scout has on young women.

My experience here in this council as a leader has been awesome. There are so many events for the girls, and so much training and support for the leaders. This has been a very positive and fulfillinging activity to me. I recommend contacting them right away if you have a daughter looking for something meaningful in her life. You should also consider being a leader in Girl Scouts if you would like to share your talents with girls, helping them become their best person.

Girl Scouting has changed my life in so many ways. It has taught me how to become a better listener, how to overcome my fears, and has taught me to be a better person overall. I am thankful for all the opportunities that have been given to me by this organization. I absolutely love scouting!

I have grown up in this council since I was six years old. I have earned every award that can be earned as well. Girl Scouts has developed me into a responsible and independent woman and I have excellent leadership skills, thanks to them. I am now 21 and I have a job working for the council and I am an adult volunteer. My goal is to help other girls mature into independent and responsible young women because that's what girl scouts did for me!

I have only been working here at the Girl Scouts Council of Northwest Georiga for almost 2 months and so far I have seen many great things about this organization. They are very effecient and always meet their deadlines. They have really made a difference in young girls lives already, especially with the convention this past month. They are a dependable organization.

Sometimes I think that I was born too soon. Why? becuase I did not get to do half of the wonderful things that these Girl Scouts are doing today. The GSCNWGA offers lots of great programs for girls and they span many career fields. Everytime I meet someone with a daughter, I ask them, "is your daughter a Girl Scout?" If they say, no I give them a list of reasons, why she should be. Check out the GSCNWGA!

I was a Girl Scout as a girl. It made a significant difference in the choices I made and the values I developed. I credit much of who I am today to my experience as a girl. Today I get to know many of the wonderful volunteers who give countless hours to help more girls have that same experience. It is heartwarming to see the full cycle of Girl Scouting.

Girl Scouting offers girls 5-17 the opportunity to build life skills. It builds self-esteem and values and helps develop her leadership ability. It is not just cookies, camping and crafts (even though those are fun too.) This council offers so much for all age levels, even adults. Check it out.

Girl Scouting build self-esteem and lets girls grow into positive young women. It is one of the few opportunities open to all girls, no matter their circumstances. I highly recommend Girl Scouts to any parent.
