A Real Doctor Dedicated to Research and Healing, 11/25/2006

I attended a conference 11/18/06 in Florida on Hepatitis B, C & HIV where Dr. Gitlin spoke. He was eloquent, compassionate, dry humoured, and made me want to know more about Hepatitis and refer a... friend in Atlanta to him. I found that Dr. Gitlin was a student of world-renowned hepatologist Dame Professor Sheila Sherlock in England and has authored 2 textbooks on liver disease and written 75 original papers on the subject. He is the editor of "Clinics In Liver Disease of North America," and serves on the editorial boards of several national journals and medical societies. He is actively involved in a number of research studies, including the treatment of hepatitis C and B and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
