Not professional and no concern for the customer
I've been a member here for several years. The members are friendly but the staff is not. They are more interested in talking among themselves and flirting with each other than helping the members, cleaning, straightening or getting fresh towels. Broken equipment takes forever to get fixed, the gym is dirty and the temperature is rarely acceptable.Regional management does not respond to concerns and neither does corporate.A few years ago this was a nice gym. They had remodeled the wet areas and painted and last year they built a new aerobics room. Why spend the money on capital improvements and then not keep it up and not train and manage the staff?Join at your own risk.

Poor Maintenance, Bad Customer Service, Dirty
This gym used to be a really excellent facility. The staff under the old manager / former owner was outstanding. You never got an attitude of ""That's not my job."" It used to be a great place to work out.\r\rThe reverse is true today. An example I notified the girl at the desk by the upstairs door that the cardio area was out of cleaning towels (I should not have to do this, as they are within eyeshot of her desk). Her response - verbatin - was, ""If you want a cleaning towel, you will have to go downstairs and get one yourself."" \r\rWhen I complained to the last manager that 4 of the 5 stair machines were out of order with no signs on them to indicate that they were broken, his response was - again verbatim - ""I've got more important things to do right now. Get the *uck out of my office.""\r\rThe owners and regional managers do not respond to escalations and complaints.\r\rThe air conditioning is virtually non-existent most days. Yesterday I mowed my lawn in 93 degree heat instead of working out at Gold's, as I felt it would be cooler to mow the lawn than go work out at that gym.\r\rSoap dispensers are routinely out of soap. Wet sauna is frequently broken. POOR POOR POOR...

Awful Customer Service
Don't ever work with Dennis. He completely sold me a multipass membership and my wife a single club membership. We signed up for a membership at the Celebration at Six Forks location because of convenience to our home. We are centrally located between NH Mall & C@6 Forks. The Celebration location is quite old. I was working out there over 15 years ago, and nothing has really changed. We could have signed up at the NH location where everything is new. We thought we were getting a multi-club pass, but we weren't. We were duped. I asked about a mulit-club pass, and was told it would be another $100. We would have never signed up for a single club membership at an old club like that. The place has been under reconstruction for 2 weeks, and will be for another 2 weeks. During this month, the only cardio equipment available is the Cardio Cinema room. Try and get a piece of equipment after work. It won't happen, with only 16 pieces of cardio EQ, and no treadmills for a month. What a rip off. Same old song & dance. I beg you, stay away from here, and definintely stay away from Dennis.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...BEWARE
No one will ever return your calls. Their staff never has an answer & will put you on hold until eternity. The corporate office never returns your query and yes, if you give them your credit card number forget getting a response from them. Never dealt with anyplace this unprofessional. JUST RETURN CALLS & have good business sense. It took me 4 months to get my new credit card number updated on their records wasting hrs and hrs on hold. Your voicemails go in a black hole. Now I am trying to freeze my membership due to extensive work travel and tired of no one giving a straight answer. Will never renew my membership or give business to golds gym ever again. I will ardently share these negative experiences with everyone who is looking for a gym.
