Staff is rude, unhelpful, and will in all seriousness try to take a stab at you if they can. Didn't mention until *after* we paid our supposed final month that if they knew we were canceling it would have been free. Could not get a refund. Equipment is shoddy, broken down, and they have not even made an attempt to fix them with the 'maintenance fees.'The new building is small and poorly ventilated. It smells something awful and there are not enough machines to go around. If you do join, beware when signing your contract. Those who sign you up will tell you everything *but* the fact that you have to mail in a letter to corporate sixty days in advance. Planet Fitness moved into their old location, and being very impressed with the tour and the no contract month to month. If you join a gym, there are plenty in this area that are just fine and try not to rip you off. Stay away from this Gold's Gym or you will definitely regret it.

I am currently a member and I can tell you that this is gym is a rip off. The staff is the worst part about the gym. The financial company they use make it almost impossible to alter/cancel/transfer your membership for any reason. If you don't pay fee upon fee they turn you over to a credit agency within weeks. They also charge your credit card different amounts without telling you what it is for.

This gym is a ripoff and the general manager is a jerk. The locker room is disgusting and the equipment needs some repair. Beware that if you sign up, you are LOCKED IN for the full term even though the GM will tell you that you are not. Don't trust them.

I was told upon joining in the fall that their new location would be open in the spring. It was to have more equipment, better locker rooms, etc. My 1 year membership expired and the new facility is still not open. The ventalation is terrible & the place is humid and stinky. Not enough equipment for the number of people working out. Staff is pushy when they want you to buy personal training services but worthless when you need account service. The personal trainer will tell you that what you're currently doing could not possibly work to lose weight and do whatever they can to tear you down so you feel you need their services. Lost 50lbs in a year without them doing what they said couldn't possibly work. Hum... wonder how that could be? Was also told that karate was a bad workout... Lots of lies to get you to spend money. If you do join, don't let them charge you an enrollment fee or tell you that you have to sign up for 2 years to get the cheap rate - negotiate. I NEVER paid an enrollment fee at any gym and always get the cheap rate, it may take an hour of telling them no, but it's not their money I'm spending.

My wife and I were members at this gym for 2 years. The facilities are fine, not enough treadmills for peak times but not impossible to get one. The staff does'nt offer but is willing to help when asked. The problem is when it's time to cancel. I recommend reading every word of your contract and planning on canceling two months before you want to end your membership. It could take that long.

THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN TEACHING OR TRAINING PEOPLE TO USE THE EQUIPMENT OR MAINTAING PHYSICAL HEALTH. I FOUND THEM INPERSONAL AND ONLY AFTER THE MEMBERSHIP DOLLAR. I CANCELLED AND FOUND A BETTER ONE
