Richard is a fantastic dog trainer. He helped us with our new puppy at home to learn basic manners and alter some behaviors. Richard is incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He has a positive solution for every behavior modification. Our puppy loved him, and we plan to have him back for some "fine" tuning.

We adopted two puppies (sisters), and were warned by the rescue group that they could be difficult to train. Richard worked with both dogs, and tailored a training program that worked for each of them. Richard had several different techniques to use so we could find what works best for each dog. Our girls have progressed well with Richard's guidance, and they enjoyed their training sessions with Richard. They would also get excited when they saw him coming.

Richard is awesome! After my dogs got into a fight I was in need of some help. Richard came to my house and worked with my two dogs but most importantly showed ME how to work with my dogs. Richard showed me a plethora of techniques that I could practice with my dogs without him there. I have seen a huge improvement in the 4 months that my dogs and I have been working with Richard and would highly recommend him.

We had a fantastic experience and learned great tools to train our Rotty pup. This class is for both dogs and their parents - it is a friendly, fun environment where you can ask questions and learn valuable skills to help train your puppy! Your new puppy gets to interact with the other dogs in the class and is exposed to various items and circumstances that prepare them for what's in the world. Although we've had dogs our entire lives, we learned new tricks to training that have been very effective. We have continued to train our puppy using the tools we learned at Good Dog Atlanta and consistently get compliments on how well behaved he is. Thank you Good Dog Atlanta!

Just completed Puppy Kindergarten, and Richard was fantastic! When I was looking for a class, I wanted more of a ‘behaviorist' than just a ‘trainer'. In addition to showing us "how" to train the dog, he always explains "why". It helps to understand why a dog behaves in a certain way. Richard only uses positive training methods - food rewards and praise - never negative methods or punishment. My 4 month old goldendoodle and I both learned so much! The classes are small, so each participant gets plenty of individual instruction, as well. Richard also brings useful equipment to class. For example, he brought a vacuum to show us how to desensitize our pups to the noise and motion, rather than just telling us. We got to 'practice' with him there to guide us through each step. This is a great class to learn appropriate socialization and training skills and Richard is a fabulous instructor.

Richard is amazing. He gently and effectively gave our family realistic tips and techniques to train our puppy. He came to our house each time, which was very convenient. We would highly recommend Richard!

Richard really knows his stuff. If you are looking for a gentle and thoughtful dog trainer, you have found it. Our dog was out of control and he helped transform him into a well mannered obedient part of the family. I can't say enough good things about him. We always looked forward to Richard's visit and now consider him a friend of the family. Thanks Richard!
