After a small electrical fire in our home, we called Good Electric to check all of our electrical outlets and our breaker box as well as install an additional electrical outlet. The technician... stayed at our home much longer than we anticipated so that he could check every outlet and circuit in our home for any problems. We appreciated the attention to detail from the technician and his explanations on his actions. Everything was done to our satisfaction and at a price a bit less than we had anticipated. Made an appointment for a Friday after telling them that I needed work done by a certain date and being told that wasn't a problem. Thirty minutes before appointment window got call saying they had an emergency and had to reschedule. I said ok, reiterated my time frame and was told they didn't work on Saturdays which was the only day left to meet my time window. Because they broke the appointment I was upset and surprised they wouldn't come on a Saturday since they made initial appointment knowing my time frame. I don't know if they overbooked themselves or what but I hate to be lied to. Because of them I couldn't complete my job on time. I will never call them again, if you do, be forewarned don't trust they will show up until you see them.
I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience. We're a service company and we sometimes get emergency calls. Depending on the emergency, we usually push them to the front of the line - especially when it's somebody's electrical panel getting hot. I recently had Good Electric upgrade the electric capacity in my business. They were really nice and professional. They even let me break down the cost into payments. I only had 1 problem with them. They charged me for breakers but used my breakers. Then when I needed another breaker upgraded they wanted to charge me for it. But they did a great job anyway. I will probably use them again.

I contacted Good Electric because of a circuit problem. They started off great by keeping me updated on when the electrician would arrive. Mike came over to investigate part of a circuit being out. He explained his pricing upfront and what he would be doing. Then he quickly got to work investigating the problem. He identified a poorly wired box in our attic that was extremely hot and a fire hazard. It was completely charred and the plastic around it was melted. He probably saved us from having a house fire. Mike then explained the cost to replace the box which we obviously wanted done and quickly installed the replacement. Throughout the entire process Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend using Good Electric with your electrical problem or project. The workmanship is top of the line and the service is wonderful. When they are done you feel confident that you received the best service possible.
Mike took a picture of that charred junction box and sent it to the office. Other technicians were amazed at what he'd uncovered. I'm so glad it was found before it caused damage to your home. After calling many companies with message services I finally got Good Electric. They were able to schedule me right away. $30 to come out, but this disappears if you allow service, I figured I could deal with that. They give you a call before they're on their way. They showed up on time. I was able to get my a couple of lights fixed right away. Technician was very nice and knowledgeable. The price may have been higher but I chose them for quality, fast service, no hard sales, and they are in my community. I have a new electrician.
Recently had Mike from Good Electric do a lot of work in my basement. Added a second breaker box, plugs, light switches, wired for central AC, installed fan boxes etc. He was great to work with. He explained all of what he was going to do and basically I was able to leave him to his work. While in the inspection process, Mark and Ruth back at the office were very helpful following up to make sure that everything got cleared with the inspector. You could only schedule with the inspector during the half hour beofre the office opened and Ruth took the inspector's number home with her and called from her car on the way to work to schedule for both the rough in inpection and the final. These are all top notch people. Very pleased with the work and the people and it was very fairly priced to top it off!

Jeff and Ruth stated they would be at my house between 2 - 4 pm and actually where able to come just after lunchtime. They were professional and courteous. They cleaned as they worked and cleaned up after installing my new microwave. I mentioned to Ruth that I found them on Kudzu and she told me to print the coupon from their site to get 10% off. What a deal!

Good job, Good Electric! This was my first time hiring an electrician - and I had no idea what to expect. The team at Good Electric was wonderful to deal with: very friendly, easy to work with, and customer-focused. (When I called to make the appointment, Ruth even reminded me about the Kudzu coupon - how great is that?!) Mike, the electrician, was great - and was able to troubleshoot and fix several problems in about an hour! I'd definitely use them again.

During a recent storm, the mast on our house which connects to the power lines, got severely bent forward, and the power company informed us that it needed to be replaced. I got 3 on-site estimates, and Good Electric's estimate was HALF the price of the others. I'm talking about an $800 savings!! That's big money in my world. At first, the cost differential was so great that I worried about the quality of work. I had read positive reviews on Kudzu. So we took a chance are sooooo glad we went with Good Electric. Our electrician, Jeff, was thorough, diligent, polite, and quick to complete the job. This is after he took the time to explain the procedure, in great detail,during the estimate. Ruth, who scheduled the appointment was extremely affable and professional on the phone. She even called me the day of the repair to let me know that Jeff would be able to arrive EARLIER than anticipated. Think about that. Calling me to see if it's okay for a repair job to be started (and thus completed) earlier than scheduled?!!! I'll take a company like this any day of the week and twice on Sunday. The repair/replacement was done well and in less time than I was told. Further, they cleaned up all materials afterward and walked me through what they had done. I can't recommend Good Electric enough!!! $800 savings, folks!!! I will definitely use them again. Thanks Jeff and Ruth!!!

I needed to have a few things done at a rental property I own including installation of a bath fan, replacing an outlet and securing some loose wiring. All 3 jobs were done flawlessly, although I thought $300 (including "15% Kudzu discount") was a bit excessive. I wanted the work done quickly however so I agreed to the price. Very friendly staff on phone and in person. I may use them again in the future since the work was done well, but will compare prices first with other companies.

I blew a breaker on the weekend and called them. Their on call electrician called me right back. I explained the problem. He told me it would be $280 to come out because of weekend and emergency but that I could fix it myself. He walked me through the steps. I went to home depot for the replacement breaker and fixed it myself for $9. I guarantee that Good Electric will be the only electricians I'll ever use again. That kind of honesty and consideration is rare.
