Goodwin Dental Group PC DBA Bells Ferry Family Dentistry

I'm new in the area and wanted to establish myself with a dentist. On my fist visit, they did x-rays and an exam and told me they could not clean my teeth because I would need very aggressive treatment with scaling/root planing to the tune of $900, as well as $3,000 worth of crown replacements. They destroyed my night guard. I knew I did not need that treatment because I had been to my previous dentist 7 months prior and all was well. I tried to see Dr. Sellars but was steered away from him. There was constant confrontation and finger pointing in the office. I had a knot in my stomach every time I had to deal with them. There were many errors in billing and estimates. They also billed my old and my new insurance companies simultaneously; I have to assume they were double billing. I have transferred to a professional dentist. Nancy, the dental hygienist, was outstanding.

I was looking for a dentist closer to home than my dentist in Smyrna. I made an appointment for cleaning and xrays. When I arrived, they made
x-rays and stated they would not clean my teeth because they needed scaling. The estimate was $1300.00! Unfortunately for them, I've had scaling done before at my previous dentist and called them to compare pricingWOW a difference of $800+! After I phoned them back and told them they stated, "well, if you have had it done before, you may not need it done!" So which is it? It makes you feel it's all for the moneyanyway, I'll make the trip to Smyrna to my previous and honest dental office.

Oh, by the way.I don't need the scaling so I saved myself $1300.00...

My entire family has gone to this dentist for more than 10 years. We've been treated gently, professionally, and as valued customers for both general dentistry and orthodontics (good place for scaredy-cats). The entire staff is customer-focused.
