Hi there, I just wanted to share this with you all since everybody loves my smile. I got it at Grant Park Dental. Grant Park Dental is a relaxed friendly family dentist. They take all types of insurance. They take all ages and treat each customer like a charm. Kids welcome and adults welcome they specialize in cleaning crowning fillings and this month they started doing invisibleline braces they make payment plans and always gentle on your smile. Dr. Cole and staff is always Pleasant and nice in know exactly what you need. I have been a happy patient of Grant Park Dental for six happy years with a pleasant smile thanks to Grant Park Dental. I was extremely disappointed with Grant Park Dental. Before my first visit, I called & asked if there would be any extra charge for a cleaning, (Previously, I had NEVER been charged extra at any other dentist) They kept me waiting a rather long time, which was surprising, given that I was a brand new patient. The first thing they did was take X-rays, which struck me as odd, given I just needed to know about a cleaning. I've since been told by two different dentists that X-rays are NOT necessary to assess the extent of a cleaning. Eventually they returned and informed me that it would be $98 ABOVE my insurance to get a simple cleaning. $98.00!! I cannot afford to pay that much money right now. So I was forced to leave. The staff was VERY rude to me when I left. I get the notice from my insurance that GP Dental has billed them $156, which they paid. Then I get a bill from GP Dental saying I owed them an additional $25 copay for the cleaning I never got! The NERVE. I went to talk to them about the charge, and they were nothing but rude to me. Unsympathetic, stubborn, and aggressive. I felt like I was at the DMV. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this business. Since my horrible experience, I've heard many other bad stories from neighbors about Grant Park Dental. They are both irresponsible and unprofessional.

I'd like to start by saying this is not the same group that received all the bad reviews. Dr.Pittman is no longer the dentist. The new dentist, Dr.Preston and the hygienist took great care of me at my cleaning appointment. Everyone was super friendly and professional. They worked with me to help me get the fillings I needed done as well. Overall, I felt very comfortable at this dental office and will be referring my friends and family.

I just exceeded my 250 word limit, so I decided to put bullet points instead. - Grant Park Dental Group, though friendly, have a reputation of grossly ripping folks off. - After a painful x ray procedure, I am told that I have four cavities, two on the top and two on the bottom. - Trusting their judgement, I have two filled, but can not afford to have the other two filled. - Get a second opinion yesterday, and lo and behold, I have NO cavities. None. grrrr..... - Beware of Dr. Pittman and her practice. I am not the first person that she has quoted problems when there are none. If you like your hard earned money, please! get a second opinion after Dr. Pittman. Better yet, avoid her completely!!

My husband and I both went to Dr. Pittman for routine dental exams over the course of 2 years. We went to her because she is in our neighborhood. She is very rough and has a poor bedside manner. She also required us to get X rays every 6 months because "your insurance will pay for it". This practice seems very greedy, they appear to care more about money than patient care.

This is the worst dental practice I have ever been to. Initially the trendy office decor and staff make you feel welcome but dont be tempted by this deception.They have always taken between 1 and a half to 6 hours to treat me when doing routine treatments. Dr Pittman overbooks patients so it takes her at least an hour waiting to talk to her. She initially came across as sweet and friendly but this faded fast. She was rough when working with me as well as having a short demeanor and impatience when I was in severe pain. The service is shocking. She schedules early morning appointments and only coming into the office an hour later leaving you waiting, not sure the reasoning behind this why not make appointments for when you will be there?? It is partly my fault for being too ignorant to try with them hoping it would get better, it only got worse. I am writing this review in the hopes that whoever reads this will not make the same mistake as I did , this past year has been a horrendous dental experience

We put up with terrible experiences with Grant Park Dental for a couple of years because the location is so convenient to us but NEVER again. On three occassions within two years, our appointments were cancelled but we were not notified (so took off work and took the kids out of school for nothing). I was talked into replacing fillings with crowns against by better judgement when I had no issues with the teeth only to have constant issues with the crowns. I had to wait at least 45 minutes for every appointment. With small children, this is just not do-able. And like other review stated, on two occassions, I was given anesthics that had to be readministered by the time the dentist showed up to do the work.

Scared of the dentist, I was glad to have Dr. Pittman help me overcome my fears. She and her office are modern. I enjoyed the large window in the exam room as well as the flat screen TV. She provided gentle dental care and I commend her for the manner she consoled the child in the room next to mine. Thanks for making my smile brighter!~;)

I originally went to this dent. for location. She tried to upsell me on everything, stating that "oh your insurance will cover it". When I explained that I did not have dental insurance her tone changed and she became incredibly condescending and continuted to press me for unneccessary services. I also had an appointment for a filling. Due to my busy schedule, I purposely chose the first appt. of the day. Not only did I wait 2 hours, the assistant had to inject numbing agent twice because the first shot had worn off before the dentist came in. I eventually left without getting my cavity filled and the entire left side of my face still numb because I had to clients.I later found out that it is actually illegal for the assistant to inject novocaine- only dentists are supposed to do that. I rarely write these reviews, but feel very strongly that this dentist should be avoided at all costs!

I'm in sales and I felt like I was given the hard sell. Before the dentist even looked at my teeth she started talking about all the cosmetic work she could do. Then, she billed me for services. Sad part is she is actually a very good dentist. I don't know if she trying to pay for the expensive facilities or what, but it like buying a used car

I went here as a new paitient and left being told I need the deep cleaning b.c I have the early onset of periodontal disease and need $3600 worth of work done to my teeth. I am definitely getting a second opinion after reading these reviews. The office itself is very nice and everyone seems competent but I am nervous after seeing what others have written.

This dentist is horrible. I originally went to this office out of convience; it being located within waliking distance to my house. However, this proved to be a big mistake. The dentist answered her cell phone and made me wait for over 10 minutes in the middle of my of a root canal. I was appaled. Very unprofessional. Find someone else.

This dentist's office is stressful. Wait times are long, they do not explain charges or procedures, and are condescending to patients. If you are looking for a professional and friendly dentist and dentist office, go elsewhere.

I went here for a regular cleaning as a new patient and after waiting for 30 minutes to be seen was bullied into having x-rays taken to determine the type of cleaning I needed. They absolutely would not clean my teeth without them. The they tried to sell me a deep cleaning process for $600, to be scheduled at a later date. I was there for an hour and a half, never got my teeth cleaned and was given the hard sell for everything from teeth whitening to re-crowns. If you're shopping for a dentist, keep looking.

I feel horrible for the actual dentist here. She was amazing (very great at explaining things and gentle touch), but her staff is horrible. It took me 3 hours to have x-rays taken and my teeth cleaned. And I was told I needed to come back for some repair work, which was fine, but then the receptionist tried charging me for that work. I had to fight with her to get the charges removed because I hadn't received the service yet. She kept insisting that the service had been performed, but yet she was still trying to schedule me to come in 3 weeks later for the exact same service! Also, half the time you call the office (even though it is business hours) you get some answering service. You can call at 1:00 p.m. on a Tuesday, and you will be told that everyone decided to go home for the day and to leave a message. And don't count on the "answering service" to give anyone your message. I never received a return phone call after I had left a "message". Again, the dentist seemed wonderful and the office had great new technology, but it isn't worth the hassle of dealing with her incompetent office staff.
