Like other reviewers we also found Richard to be very nice. However, I would call him helpful only if he had steered us away from the house we bought. We have since found out that many basic systems Richard noted to "appear serviceable" were infact not up to code, dangerous and have cost us several thousands in repairs. Without going into details, all repair companies we have since needed for the HVAC, plumbing, floor and framing, have asked us why our inspector did not see various obvious problems. It would be extremely wise to actually get other inspections in addition to Richard's.

Richard was extremely polite and detailed oriented. He explained the importance of radon testing and gave me suggestions on how to keep moisture out of my basement. I would recommend his services.

I highly recommend this business. They have done several home inspections for my clients and myself and are very professional. I am a Realtor. You will learn a lot if you are onsite during the inspection, as he will walk you through all maintenance issues and how to deal with them. Highly recommend.

Having purchased many homes in the past, I thought I had learned many things from the past Home Inspectors that I used. I was WRONG. Initially, an inspection lasts 1 to 2 hours, maybe. Mr. Sims spent almost 3 hours inspecting and then another 11/2 answering my questions and showing me how to care for my home. His report was detailed and yet easy to read. He keeps in touch through email and is just a phone call away if I need advice. No other inspector will ever work for me or for any of my friends. His motto, Once a Client, Always a Client is true! Nice to see that Integrity and Honor are still around!
