This company repaired the roof 5 years ago and it began to leak again in the exact same spot this year. When I called the owner to come out, it took him 3 weeks and several more calls. He didn't keep 2 appointments he made and did not even have the courtesy to call and reschedule, causing me to wait for hours for a no show. He provided no warranty for prior work and charged $400.00 dollars to re-repair the roof. The second repair took 55 minutes and he expected payment on the spot when work was completed without an invoice. When asked for an invoice it did not include labor, materials, nature of work, it was so generic it leaves a customer without any recourse for appeal as well as NO warranty. $400 an hour for this??? I do not recommend this company to anyone.

During the interview with the owner, we expressed concern that our brand new 42K composite deck would be damaged when they replaced our roof. He assured us that the deck would be covered while the men were working and that it would be fine. They did cover the deck while doing the tear off, but failed to do so while applying the new roof. A great deal of grit fell off the roof onto the deck and was walked on by the workers, creating small scratches and marring over the entire deck. The workers threw shingles that bounced of the railing causing more scratches, and I found staples and nails all over the deck. The owner denies his men damaged the deck and called it "normal wear and tear" It's normal wear and tear if you consider it normal to have people walking all over your deck while it's covered in grit. After the initial tear off, just two guys showed up each day, started at 10 or 11, took 1 1/s hour breaks, and left by 3 PM. The roof was to be completed in 4 days - it's 8 working days later and the roof is not done. The owner promised the deck would be covered going forward but the workers put down a scrap of tarp over one small area and continued to shed grit all over the rest of the deck. We are devastated that Great House Roofing ruined our deck and plan to take legal action. I wish we had gone with one of the other bids as they were lower, but we thought by paying more we would get better service.
