Busy chasing a bigger fish
I had Rory come to give me a quote based on recommendation by my neighbor. He had to postpone the appointment due to the storm the previous night and taking care of the existing clients. When we met, he gave me a fair quote. Promised to send pictures of some potential replacement trees for a large overgrown bush. Never happened. Finally arranged to have him come this week, but he couldn't give a time, due to some other work. Called him the night before to firm up the time frame (AM, PM, at least), never called. Never came on agreed upon day. I consider this behaviour extremely unprofessional and oriented towards more lucrative customers (I had six trees and three bushes to prune, two bushes to remove and one tree to plant). Wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Professional and Personal Performance
Service performed 6/08. I had a number of overgrown trees in my back yard that needed a LOT of pruning. Two large Oaks and three Crepe Myrtles. They pruned the trees and did a full clean-up.
Member Comments: Rory was very professional and knew his business. He gave me a very fair quote. I chose them to do the work. The crew arrived late because they squeezed another job in before mine. The crew worked hard and did a great job. The main tree climbing pruner was obviously very experienced and skilled.

Edited Initial Review
While this company is reliable and did good work for us last winter, I've since learned that the ivy removal they performed from our trees was done with a chainsaw and has quite possibly damaged the integrity of the trees. Per two other arborists who have been to my home to give a quote on yard work, a chainsaw should have never be used to "cut into" ivy growing on the trees. It should be done with a handsaw, in most cases.

We now have very deep cuts deep into the bark of the trees. Some trees are now "weeping" sap. Every tree where ivy was removed has a cut "ring" around it, with visible chain saw markings. Very upsetting. This is going to cost a great deal of money to remedy.

Greenpoint Tree Service
They came when they said they would for the estimate and the work. They cleaned everything up and didn't damage a thing. In fact, at our request, they even brought some extra mulch to go with what they generated. They also gave us advice on types of trees to plant. Would definitely use them again.

Reliable, Reasonable, & Responsible
We had many dangerous diseased trees extracted from our yard. Greenpoint did an excellent job and they were a joy to do business with. They finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up the mess.
