Eric Tunison at Groove Tunes makes the recording and studio experience 'comfortable' and if you could ever say something like this is 'easy'he does it. He is extremely knowledgable, respectful, prompt, and creative,in addition to being a technical expert in engineering and recording. His studio atmosphere is superior and he uses state of the art equipment. He also lends just the right amount (probably whatever the client requests in terms of producing the project as well)but for me, just the right amount of 'input' to the creativity portion of the project, while remaining extremely respectful of the artist's wishes and ideas.
I started my project elsewhere and after that didn't work out I brought a partially finished project to him. The circumstances were so difficult and yet, he took it and ran with it, making the transition stress-free for me. I am thrilled with the finished product he worked his 'magic' on. Groove Tunes is a well-designed, well-equipped, comfortable studio, and a perfect choice for first-time recorders and veterans alike. Eric was always on top of things. Even when we would get sidetracked with work and life, he would contact us to get us back on focus. He also has a really good ear for intonation, and knows his music, chords, and progressions.

And that is what Eric Tunison is: a "5 Star General" in every sense of the word, and is not an exaggeration. After a bit of shopping around for my second album I ran into Groove Tunes Studio. As Eric is giving me a tour I was sure that I could not possibly afford this state of the art studio equipped with top technology in a superb environment. But I was wrong, not only did the rates were affordable but more importantly, a top recording engineer and producer came with it. To me the studio equipment is second to whoever runs the studio. Eric has proven to be a top notch from the get go. He is a true organizer, has a unique ability to focus (sometimes in the midst of true chaos), possesses a great ear capable of detecting the undetectable, and is also a great human being capable of providing support and empathy in difficult situations. As an artist I felt that I could rely on Eric 100+percent all the time and afford to extricate myself from everything that was not my singing, playing, or arranging. A true luxury for me! Again, knew a had a 5-star general in command of everything else. Not only do I highly recommend him, but I just can't wait to start my next project with GTS next Feb-March. Thanks Eric you for making my dream project all I wanted it to be and without compromising at all!

Eric did a great job helping me create a CD. The price was reasonable and the final product great!! He helped me find the best takes, gave me creative advice, and provided the support I needed as a first time professional studio singer. I look forward to working with Eric again in the near future. I highly recommend Groove Tunes and will definitely visit Eric again when I'm ready for my next project.

I am a repeat customer. Eric and I worked together a couple of years back on my inaugural CD project, so I knew that I could count on him the second time around.

The project took a total of five months from start to finish. I went into the studio once or twice a week and whittled away at my songs one session at a time. At each session, whether we were recording a simple keyboard pad or a full string quartet, Eric was always at the ready with his keen ear and positive attitude.

Some specific things I'd like to mention from this project…

First, the quality of the raw audio we recorded was exceptional. The environment at GTS is state-of-the-art. From instruments to microphones to pre-amps to gadgetry I don't understand, everything is designed to capture the best possible audio signal. Combine that with Eric's skill in Pro Tools HD, and you're setup for success.

Second, Eric's connections with the Atlanta music community really helped during my project. When I needed some string players, Eric was able to make a couple of phone calls and get some amazing musicians. He also recommended one of the top mastering engineers in the city and coordinated with him directly so I wasn't left running CD's all over town.
