For anyone who has seriously looked into any of those new covered-gutter products, you know how expensive they can be! My neighbor paid over 5K for a small ranch house. I got several estimates, and I recieved prices all over the board. Gutter Done seemed the most honest out of all the folks who came to my house, and they didnt make me sit through a 2 hour presentation like several of the others. I paid less than half of what LeafGuard quoted me, and they installed it the same week. Louis was one of the installers who put the gutters up, and he was very nice. He walked around and made sure that i was happy with everything. The work was finnished about 2 weeks ago, and with all the rain we've been getting, is still working great! I have no complaints.

Gutter Dome came to my neighborhood passing out brouchures. I talked to them and invited them to give me a free estimate. In about a week they came for the estimate. Mind you my house is SMALL (33x43) and in a perfect square shape all one one level. Over and over again they kept saying how easy this would be, how simple of a job it was. Then came the estimate. He quoted me some $800 dollars, which I thought to be high. However, I was on my way out the door when he arrived. I told him to just leave the estimate in my door. When I returned later and reviewed his estimate, he wrote on it that he made a mistake, that the revised estimate is now $1,300 ($500 higher) than what he first thought. I personally think that is a HUGE mistake to make. He also said he personally would follow up with me in a few days, he did NOT. A few days later, I got a call from their office making sure they came out and did the estimate and to find out how happy I was. Needless to say I was NOT happy, based on the price. She said she would talk to the person who went out to my home, check into this and get back to me. Well, as you can imagine, they NEVER did. So, unforunately I can not say anything good about this company based on my experiences with them.

For the dimentions listed, 152 linear feet, a competetive market price would run $988.00 for the gutters alone. The "mistake" the rep probably made was not adding in the cost of the downspouts. We do appologize for any misunderstanding, and I'm sorry that you had a frustrating experience. This is not the norm. Usually if a homeowner is present for the FULL estimate we can find a solution that fits the budget, be it a partial system, or whatever. When you DO decide to do the replacment we'd love to have another go at it, and see if we cant make it up to you!
