Great place for pets!
I was referred to Dr. Churchill by a friend and was very pleased from the get go. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Churchill takes her time with the pet, instead of the 5-10 minutes like other vet offices. The rates are very reasonable compared to many other places. I am so happy with their service, I will be taking all 6 of my furkids here from now on!

So Glad We Found Dr. Zook Again!!!
I have been taking my pets to Dr. Zook off/on for many years, whenever traditional medicine doesn't work I know she will have the answers! I was worried I had lost track of her, but I am so glad to have found her at your hospital!

Avoid - expensive and temperamental
I feel for those “fired” by this clinic. It is accompanied by a mean phone call, topped off with a flippant “Have a nice life!”

They might even try to sue you if you speak up! Unreal.

My woes began last fall, when I was pressured to cover an old billing error—no explanation. Then the phone calls began. At long last, I think I finally understood: they must have believed I knew the large expense was not on the invoice at checkout, and deliberately concealed it to cheat them! I did not.

I resolved to find another vet. But, my foster dog suddenly had a problem. Sadly, I had the misfortune to encounter a vet there I never met before, named elsewhere.

She blamed me for not being able to find the dog a home, launched into a tirade about my shortcomings, spouted trite pop psychology, and made petty temperamental gestures.

It was terribly depressing and unhelpful. Other staff gave a point of contact, whom I contacted, with no reply.

But this is incorrect: I was not offered the famous '27 pages'; it did figure in the jeremiad against me, though. How appealing that was!

I needed to board the dog for a while, I was so exhausted. Then I was accused of trying to force them to find the dog a home for me! Again, untrue. They assume the worst motives. It is so odd.

So I arrived feeling discouraged, and left feeling deeply discouraged. I had wished to rescue urgent cases, but not now.

To avoid such tiresome stuff in the future, best to look elsewhere.

WOW! Too bad the story has been twisted and only half true! True, this sweet puppy was fostered by this client and needed a home. What isn't told is that he was found to have two tiny spots of very curable mange, because of which she deemed him unadoptable and was considering turning him back over to the pound- in her words "you may as well tell people he has Cancer- noone will want him!". She was offered a 27 page packet of rescue group information, phone numbers, and contacts, which she adamantly refused to even look at it, stating that she 'wasn't going to spend all day making phone calls, because noone will take him'. As far as her evil critique of the doctor, She did everything possible to help this unreasonable woman find the dog a home- she even had a staff member spend Friday afternoon making the calls to rescue groups for her. The doctor has been there for many years and has many loyal, wonderful clients who entrust their pets to her care. As for being 'fired', it is rare and not taken lightly, otherwise we wouldn't still be in business after 38 years. This client was asked to seek veterinary care elsewhere after her abusive behavior to the doctor, the answering service, and our staff.

Wonderful resource for holistic veterinary service
I have an 11 year old retired working dog. His spine is fully fused. I thought we were going to have to put him down over a year ago, but Dr. Churchill has worked miracles with combinations of acupuncture, cold laser therapy and other alternative approaches. I also have a young rottweiler rescue that had some muscular issues. Again, Dr. Churchill and the others have helped him have a normal life - with a combination of surgery, cold laser and massage. All of my animals love this facility. Everyone that works there is wonderful, and they are so attentive to the animals. I have been with several different vets over the years in different cities, and I'd have to say that without a doubt, this is the best vet :)

Echo and the crew say "24 paws up :)" on this one!

I find it hard to believe...
As a former staff member at a different clinic and a current client of Gwinnett Animal Hospital for many years I believe there is more to tell than what FALJRT is willing to share. There is no way an exam fee was $90.Which means they found something that needed to be treated while the pet was boarded.Would (s)he prefer they not treat the pet? Surely they would have something to complain about then.It is infuriating to me that someone would take the time out to complain about a business that they have been happy with, by their own admission, for 37 years without ever once posting a positive review, to slam them at the first negative issue. People who want something for nothing sicken me. These people are ALWAYS there for me and my pets when I need them for preventative medicine or for a rare true emergency. They have stayed late to help my pet, gone over and above with concern at times when others would not have. Yes things are different than when Dr. Connolly was the owner but I would not say the changes have been for the worse. He, in fact, is still there seeing patients. I deal primarily with Dr. Harris, who is terrific, but have seen, I believe, most, if not all, of the Dr's and have always been impressed with their knowledge and professionalism as well as that of the support staff.Take your business elsewhere and see what you get.It will be less than you are used to, I assure you.

Thanks for the support. Unfortunately there are always going to be those folks like this who point out the one negative experience rather than the many good ones that kept them coming to our practice for 37 years. We will continue to do our best for those who will work with us. Glad you have had good experiences with Drs Connolly and Harris (and the rest!)
